Covid restrictions are in place (mid-June) with maximum of 6 people in store, hand sanitizer at the doors, arrows on the floor, sneeze screens at the till, and limiting testing and playing of instruments, etc but customer service was great as usual.

Ordered a zoom Q8 to check out in store as I live on west coast. After contacting the store at 130 pm today and being told item was in stock and also eligible for no gst when I arrive at 3pm I'm told item was shipped out this morning. A total waste of time and effort and the absolute worst customer service experience I have ever had in a music store. Stick with L and M if you want service and selection.

These guys have always been incredibly helpful and the return policy (30 days) is great. It's a small store so they don't always have the things I'm looking for for my particular instrument (the cello which is not what they specialize in either) but they always do their very best to find what I need and bring it in if possible. They tend to have competitive prices as well.

Nice Store BUT! very bad customer service with a very bad returning policies. Also if you are looking for a repair or upgrading your music instrument there I would recommend you to go do it somewhere else this store have a very bad luthier with rude and disrespectful to a customer.

Amazing service!I have never filled in one of these before for anyone, but I want everyone to know how impressed I was: Both James and James not only helped this confounded customer to determine which was the most suitable instrument, but also how to access additional assistance via the internet.

I called to have something put on hold for me, chexked the closing time which I was told was 6pm. Arrived at the store to pick up the item at 5:03 to see 3 young people licking the door. I explained that I had driven in from out of town to pick up an item that is on hold for me and that I was told they were open until 6. They refused to open up. Refused to help in any way and we wonder why small businesses are going out of business? THIS IS WHY! I will order the item from Amazon.

I was genuinely surprised by how lousy the service was. Went in a few days ago ready to buy a piano; a friendly young salesman got us set up to make the purchase after 30 minutes of deciding and detailing, only for the manager to then abruptly (and quite rudely) tell us that they cannot sell us the piano; that they didn't have any in stock, and wouldn't sell the floor-model. Why display something you're unable to sell?There were no solutions offered, and we felt incredibly unwelcome. You'd think, especially during a pandemic, that local businesses would be interested in landing an expensive sale. It seemed as though these people weren't interested in making a sale at all. Will be going elsewhere from now on.Edit: We decided to go to the Victoria store instead to give the company another chance, and the experience was entirely different. Immediately upon walking in the door, we felt welcome, and left satisfied with the purchase we made.

Took my Strat in for warranty repair. That was back in June. They lost my guitar in Vancouver and I have yet to hear any updates or follow ups about my guitar. If I knew it would take this long for a simple pickup switch solder I would have done it the day of. Wondering if I'll ever get it back. I've called multiple times with no success. Next time going exclusively to Long & McQuade.

Worst music store ever. Wasn't even greeted by the lazy staff standing around, pretending that they're high and mighty the whole time. Never asked if I needed help, Nothing special about the guitars. They're all out of tune, and the strings feel old. Never returning.

After purchasing a new mixer and wireless microphone, we had a bit of trouble installing it. One phone call to Tom Lee and Dan came by and set everything up for us. It's working great and couldn't be more thankful!
