Did the sunset sail from Lunenburg last Saturday and it was a really great experience. The captain provided an interesting mix of facts about the area and when it was settled but also gave time to just sit and enjoy the sail and the scenery. All the staff we encountered were super friendly and engaging. Would definitely recommend if you're in the Lunenburg area!

I recently had the pleasure of embarking on a sunset sailing adventure in Lunenburg, and it was an experience that exceeded all my expectations. With a captivating narrative woven by our knowledgeable captain and first mate, breathtaking views, and encounters with fascinating wildlife, this excursion truly showcased the beauty of the ocean and its surroundings. From the moment we stepped aboard the sailboat, we were greeted warmly by the crew. The captain and first mate proved to be not only skilled sailors but also excellent storytellers. While effortlessly navigating the ropes, mast, and sails, their tales of the sea, Canada's largest secondary fish-processing plant, and the surrounding area, painted a vivid picture of Lunenburg's rich history and maritime culture. It was a delightful way to connect with the region's past while sailing in the present. As we set sail, the beauty of the ocean enveloped us. The boat gracefully glided through the water, propelled by the wind in the sails. The atmosphere was serene, and the silence of the wind became a harmonious symphony that complemented the stunning surroundings. The peacefulness of the moment allowed us to truly appreciate the natural wonders we encountered along the way.Nature presented itself in all its glory during our sailing journey. An eagle soared overhead, while herons and cormorants gracefully stalked their prey along the shoreline and islands. The occasional appearance of swimming seals and the steady stream of jellyfish passing our bow, remind us of the marine life that calls this area home, reminding us of the importance of preserving these precious ecosystems. As the sun began its descent in our return, the sky transformed into warm hues, painting a mesmerizing backdrop against the picturesque Lunenburg skyline. The old town's charming architecture and historic buildings came alive in the fading light, providing a truly enchanting view. It was a moment to savor, and the memories of that vibrant sunset as we approached the old settlement will forever be etched in my mind.On our return journey to the harbor, the crew buttoned up the sails while sharing more stories and anecdotes. Their passion for sailing and their love for the area were evident in every word they spoke, and their genuine enthusiasm added an extra layer of enjoyment to the entire experience. If you're looking for a unique and unforgettable way to immerse yourself in the maritime heritage of this beautiful region, I highly recommend setting sail into the evening on a picturesque Lunenburg sunset cruise.

Especially our kids (5 and 8).Cruises are every 2 hours. With the last one at 6pm. Which we took to meet the sunset. Bathroom is on board. Amazing tour! This was my first sailing tour and is surely memorable one!!!The captain and the lady were well experienced and everyone felt very safe during entire journey. The weather was very good but surprisingly high winds that day so we had experienced extremely high tides and had to cut through those tides to reach the harbour. It was thrilling but once in a lifetime experience on water. Captain showed how to enjoy high tide and many had followed.Sailing boat had been around the world in deep waters, it was hard to believe until I experienced how it survived the high tides that day. Thrilling, but wonderful experience!!

We had a fantastic sailing ride on the Eastern Star. Very informative crew. Not for the wheelchair bound. Depending on the side you sit, you may be on the floor due to the sailing slope of the boat. I have back issues but can still walk. I had a great time and would do it again. Thank you for the experience.
