My father passed away and his was passing was untimely for my siblings and I. We had no idea what to do. With no life insurance in place or funds on the side, his passing was a trying time for the family. When I made that phone call to Ridley Funeral home, a voice of compassion was greeting me on the other side. It was Ellen Newman. We spoke and I advised her of the issues we were having and she was so helpful. I felt the compassion, the kindness, the care, love, and concern from all of the staffs. She also gave us hope during this vulnerable time, that there is a way. Lindsey did a wonderful job as well with the quoting, Siobhan with the follow up, and Mr. Jones himself was very kind to my family and I. He was the one who helped us on the day of the funeral. Their professionalism coupled with compassion and understanding has touched my family and I. Even my uncle was very impressed by their wonderful service. I am pleased to have found these wonderful people in the neighbourhood and I definitely would not want to go with anyone else. They make you feel like family and someone who can truly relate to how you feel. Because of what they did, my family and I are at ease after my father’s passing. This is the funeral home that didn’t make us feel like they did this for business. They are family owned. They made us feel more like they’re a family helping our family in time of difficulties. Dignity, Respect, and Compassion...those are the hallmarks of the staff at Ridley Funeral Home Services.The burial of my father was a very difficult time for my family and the support that we received from all the staff at Ridley's was truly remarkable. Most notably, I really appreciate the dignity they bestowed on my father when they took the initiative to recover his body from the hospital immediately after his passing prior to any payment. When I reflect back now in retrospect, this was very important for me and my family because we wouldn't have wanted our father to needlessly stay in the hospital's morgue after he died. This is just one small example of the many sensitive details that Ridley took care of for us.From the outset, our funeral director Ellen kept us informed of our options in advance and helped guide us through the decision making process. She was wonderful and I thank her very much on behalf of my family. During the viewing they provided ample time for me and my family to mourn in private and then helped arrange all the aspects of the public viewing on our behalf. Furthermore, the pallbearers assigned to carry my father to his final resting place took this responsibility with the utmost care and respect. They picked him up very carefully and slowly carried him to his final resting place.The Ridley staff are not merely conducting business they will provide your loved ones safe carriage to their final resting place.

The people at Ridley funeral home were amazing and they have reached out often after to see how I got through the holidays and am dealing with life in general. They took care of canceling everything for my mom and it took a huge load off of me. I highly recommend them they are very compassionate and knowledgeable.

We hired Ridley to make the arrangements for our mother. The team at Ridley is prompt, courteous, and very professional. They went out of their way to make us feel looked after. Absolute white glove service. Highly recommended.

The staff at Ridley's were exceptional to work with. As a mom with the excruciating task of making funeral arrangements for her newborn son, they walked me through the process. I appreciated that they called and followed up when they said they would. We worked with Alesia, that made each and every step professional and a bit easier to take in. They came to our home to lessen the burden for us, because I had just had major surgery.While making arrangements to cremate a baby or have a funeral are the last things you ever thought you'd be doing, I'd recommend the team at Ridley's. They make it extremely affordable, but I very much trusted that our son was being well cared for.Thank you to the entire team who helped with our son's arrangements. The job you do is hard, but you make it easier for two people dealing with the worst tragedy of their lives.

At the end of 2022 my mum passed away and I was faced with the task of finalizing her funeral. Thankfully earlier in the year I met with Tammy for the pre-planning. Tammy was amazing at the pre-planning appointment and made the whole process so comforting and easy. She walked me through all the steps and I left feeling at ease. When the time came I contacted Ridley and Ellen and Lindsey came and took my mum into their care. They were both so kind, compassionate and seemed to understand what I was going through. The visitation and funeral service was handled beautifully by Brad, Lindsey, Ellen and Siobhan. At no time did I feel stress. My mum was treated as if she was their own. Words cannot express my thanks, gratitude and appreciation. Thank you for providing the funeral my mum deserved.

Very professional and comprehensive experience with Ridley's. As executor for my mother, I particularly point out their excellent aftercare service in expediting post death documents on our family's behalf. It was above and beyond what my experience had been with other funeral homes. I also appreciated that they only serve one funeral at a time, unlike larger places. We had their full attention. A funeral home that provides excellent services, services that are FAR surpassed by the sublime support, patience, empathy and genuine kindness of their employees.The manner in which they helped me, and my family, through these immensely tough times resonates with me much more than how efficient, professional, diligent, and lovely they were (and continue to be) in helping me through this journey. They were fully invested, and patient, with me throughout the worst days of my life, and gave me brief moments of respite and solace by doing all the heavy lifting. At no point did I feel as though my family’s best interests weren’t their primary concerns and our wishes were always respected and at the forefront.They continue to provide unparalleled support now that my wife’s service has come and gone, and helped me through the administrative processes that I would not have been able to manage. They are attuned to the needs of the grieving throughout the entirety of the process, and have little personal touches that continue to make me feel like the sole object of their concern.On the day of my wife’s service, our two daughters were happy and running around with friends, which speaks volumes of the wonderful environment that Ridley creates and maintains.
