It is with great sadness that I must report that Central Hobbies has permanently closed. I am advised that the new owners will be reopening in Ridge/Meadows in late summer.

For those who love trains, it's an excellent place to go to. Train cars, set pieces,, magazines, it's loaded. However it tries to pack too much in its small location and it's rather difficult to walk around. I think they need a bigger location.

Still no change- Useless staff with a very limited knowledge. another waste off time thinking things would be different, NOPE! Great Place if you want to stand around and chat. If you know what you want and need help to get it - not likely. If someone is standing there waving an item to purchase it, Stop yacking and help a paying customer.

Cool store with lots of n-scale trains and Hobbes. I,v build a cool train set and many trains (cargo & passenger) big $$$$ cool fun I,m happy. Find the kid in you. Have fun . I did. Now a 2nd track 6,6 long 29 wide with newer pictures. Yea $$$$ . Fun fun fun ."

What a wonderful store! It’s packed to the brim with model making and train supplies. I’ve honestly never found a place so we’ll supplied. I work in stop motion animation, so the paints and K&S are perfect for me. I’m from the U.K. and haven’t found UHU glue anywhere but here!I just can’t believe the reviews about rude staff. They were lovely with me.

Fantastic shop, full of some great finds for crafters, painters, and hobbyists alike. And the people who work there are absolutely amazing! So knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend you take a moment to go on amd have a shop around.

This shop is the real deal, seemingly endless inventory, lots of accessories- especially if you're into trains, their stock is deep- and all the supplies to keep your hobby in the groove. I'm a kit-basher and find the hanging racks tremendously satisfying to browse, while paints, cements and thinners are amply stocked. The staff know their stuff and are courteous and that's pure icing on the cake for me. Check them out, give yourself time to browse and ask questions, it's worth it.

Great place to go look around. I go there a few times every year to buy some trains for my birthday/Christmas! Seen a few reviews where people say the people who work here are grumpy, but I don’t get that at all. There’s no doubt these people care about their store and want people to enjoy it, as long as you are respectful and follow the (very well implemented) covid procedures they have, you’ll have a great experience! Definitely the best hobby shop for miles around!
