Booked a suite to extend stay after camping in area. Owners Irene and Uriel were so welcoming and accommodating, and this was by far the cleanest hotel I have seen, ever. Charming, great retro vibe and everything you need with the kitchenette. Great location, will stay here again!

Absolutely adorable. There’s a main living area which has a table to eat at, a pull out couch and a really decent kitchenette that has dishes, pots and pans. The bathroom is nice and the bedroom has a Queen size bed. She keeps this place immaculate! Like there’s nothing out of place, no dust bunnies, nothing! I absolutely recommend this place.

My freshly cleaned room was spotless and dare I say elegant. Unfortunately I was only there for one night but without a doubt the best motel experience of my life. Owners are really friendly and helpful as well. Thanks a million guys.

Rooms fantastic. Location is prim for ppl wanting to stay close to the trans canada hwy. Owner is very nice and friendly, also very helpful. I will highly recommend to anyone wanting to find a fair priced place to stay.

The Strathcona Motel was a lovely clean and comfortable stay. The owner Irene is also a super sweet lady and I would definitely recommend this Motel to anyone driving through thunder bay. Also pet friendly!! Honestly a 10/10. Thank you Irene:)

Such a CLEAN cute motel. I would give it 6 stars if I could. Full kitchen and living room with dining table, oven. A great place to come home to if you are exploring the area. Pizza, burgers and bar within walking distance. I felt much safer than parking my car downtown.

It's very clean, tidy and the price is reasonable. We love that it has a kitchenette and equipped with everything you need to cook a meal, except for the groceries - not included haha. The hostess was very accommodating. We stayed here on the way to BC and on the way back from our trip.

Stayed here, unit 5, for 2 nights in April 2022. The unit was recently renovated and was really nice and very clean. You have a living room, kitchen, bath, and bedroom all for just over $100. Yes, it is out of the way but it was very quiet and the neighbourhood felt safe. I am tired of paying well over $100 a room at the big chain hotels (and rooms are ususlly filthy). Glad to support a small business owner. I highly reccomend. I will be a repeat customer.

Great place to stay.It was like your very own cozy apt. style unit- separate bedroom, pull out couch in living area,TV, eating table & chairs. kitchenette- loaded with everything you need.-fresh, clean, simple & nicely decorated inside & out. Chairs to sit & enjoy the outdoors.Our only wish - that we could have stayed longer!! But it was fully booked. You need to contact owner directly to book a stay. We would highly recommend.

Owners are incredibly nice and made our stay very comfortable. We only stayed one night in the cozy cabin but I can honestly say this was one of the best places we have stayed in. The cabin has a fully equipped kitchenette, wood stove and smart tv. The place was also very clean. Thank you Irene and Uriel for our comfortable stay. Would recommend to anyone looking for a cozy place to stay for a reasonable price.
