I tend to find the food a little blend. The dumplings are homemade and fresh. I think this place is run by a wife and a husband. I see the wife taking orders and then go back and help the husband with the food orders. It's cute but the service was a bit slow.

Amazing food and friendly service. The first night, I had the pork and cabbage dumplings pan fried and the soup with chicken and rice noodles. So satisfying and delicious. So good I went back the next day again for dinner. I had the pork and carrot dumplings pan fried and the chow mein with flour noodles and chicken. Incredibly flavorful and filling. Highly recommend!

I did not expect to find some of my best Chinese food" experience in BC in the town of Revelstoke. We were passing by and needed dinner. Stopped in and met the owners. This place definitely is home cooked style. The beef dumplings

I love finding places that are new to us and that's what Kevin's Kitchen was.We actually found it by accident, wandering the streets of Revelstoke and decided to pop in for dinner. The menu is small, which I appreciate. There are only 2 people working in the restaurant - I assumed Kevin and his partner. He cooks, she serves and busses. A small menu means they can concentrate on their menu items and they do them well. These are real" Chinese dishes - well maybe not the chow mein

Tastes like home, very authentic northern style Chinese cuisine. I highly recommend to try their pan fried dumplings. They made dumplings from scratch so they are much better than the frozen ones you can get from grocery stores. The dumplings skin is crispy and chewy, the fillings are juicy and fresh. Great place for warm and hearty food.

Pork/cabbage dumplings and wonton soup were great. Yes, maybe a little pricey for what it is but it’s clean homemade food made by Chinese locals who are trying to run a small business ffs. Service was nice and food came out fast. These people complaining about the broth have been ruined by westernized Chinese food that is loaded with salt and/or msg. I appreciated the natural flavors and it not being too salty. If you like spicy make sure to try their chili oil, it goes well with these dishes and adds nice flavor.

First of all, I'm not the owner, nor connected to the business. Just wanted to clear away any confusion in case anyone was wondering about the connection between my name and the restaurant's name.Okay, so I came with my family for dinner while traveling to Revelstoke last year. Had zero expectations despite pretty good reviews. I'd say we were all pretty impressed with the food. It's a husband and wife team from Shaanxi if I remember correctly. The husband looks after the kitchen and cooking and the wife helps with the cooking when not attending to the customers. The menu is small, but everything is made fresh. We pretty much tried everything from the menu. This is northern Chinese food. Everything was really good, from the Chinese salads, noodles, wonton soup, to the DUMPLINGS! They hit all my taste buds, and this is coming from a person from Northern China. The food is just how I used to have it when I was at my grandma's when I was a kid! Everything is healthy and fresh, you definitely don't have the grease-pumping-through-your-vein type of heavy feeling when eating westernize Chinese food.I don't know if they have more help in the kitchen now, but don't feel mad if the wife have to turn away a large group if they already have quite a few customers. They are really committed to quality food and service and serving within a reasonable amount of time. I know because I talked to the wife after seeing this happen once while eating. Try to come back another time when its not as busy!

We went their for diner, there were only 8 other people there so there were not a lot of people in the restaurant. We ordered our food, service was fast, food was really good,it was a very limited menu but so good. The owners(husband and wife) were the ones making the food, the wife served it.She talked to us like we had been there a few times but it was our first time.We woukd definitely go back again.

Summary: Kind of a weird place to dine in, but great food, friendly service, and good value. More detail: I visited on a Tuesday night around 6:30pm. There are only a handful of tables, most of them seating 6 people, and the interior has a somewhat barren feel, like a commercial space. Almost everything is white, and it seems like the place just opened recently and has not been fully fit-out. More color / decoration on the walls would go a long way towards providing a more comfortable and traditional restaurant feel. I only noticed 2 people working there: the woman who is the host/server/busser & appears to assist with food prep, and the man (cook) in the kitchen. Perhaps it is a couple who are fulfilling the roles of owners and all staff simultaneously. Regardless, the result is that the entire experience of entering, being greeted, being seated, ordering, receiving food and paying is a bit slow and awkward. I was a solo diner at a table which could seat 4 people. I noticed a few groups of 2-3 people enter the restaurant and appear confused as to where they should sit as the only options were tables which could seat 6 people. I mentioned to the woman (owner? waitress? hostess?) that they ought to get some tables which can be subdivided for smaller groups in order to accommodate more customers. Also, the quantity of dishes available on the menu is quite small, especially for a chinese food restaurant. I suspect the owners' intent is to only offer dishes that they can consistently make well and provide high quality food, and I am ok with that. Anyways...I ordered the brown rice tea, fried dumplings and pork & cabbage noodle soup. My food came out reasonably quickly, but I noticed others who arrived after me waiting for a while for their food. That said, my food was excellent! I am used to high quality Asian food back home, and this meal did not disappoint. Also, the price I paid for the meal was quite reasonable compared to other meals I have had in town. Had I been in town longer, I would have definitely considered returning to try some of the other dishes on the menu, or perhaps gotten take-out. Clearly this place would do well to have at least 1 additional person on staff as a hostess & server, more effort towards interior decoration, more options for seating, and perhaps a slightly larger menu. However, I enjoyed my meal here and recommend giving it a shot.

Tasty large portions and good loose leaf tea. Pork and cabbage dumplings were really nice, as well as noodle soup. The service was very friendly, and they have asked us about our preference with spicy food (we like not spicy). Also very fast, food arrived in 10 minutes. Tables are large and chairs are comfortable, the largest table is for 6 people. You can add more hot water to your tea. They have also brought small plates and bowls so we could share.
