Feedback time for *SALES*, setting up a new account, is a week. They rejected my with a canned request for information that was not applicable. That means I responded with a question in a few hours so that I can wait another week for them to clarify. They finally did clarify the problem after more than a month since I submitted my application, but I still have no information on what they want me to do. So 2 months in I am calling their support number during weekdays to be hung up on because they are closed; and the pattern continues here: please call back during normal business hours *hangup*". If not weekdays in the light hours

Unreliable - blocked car but could not unlock it to start journey. App timed out. Phoned customer service - no chance - on hold for ~15 minutes before gave up.

The rental car hack of Alberta. Cost-effective, easy to use and about a quarter of the price of a rental car from car rental companies. The only thing I wish is that we could have rented a larger car than a Kia Rio for both safety (we travelled with a child) and the amount of bags we had. They fit in the Kia Rio (2 backpacks, 1 suitcase, stroller and a car seat), but it was a tight squeeze!

I had two issues with Communauto. Firstly, I rented a car in Calgary, but the back seat was very dirty and I didn't notice it initially because the windows were also dirty. As a result, nobody could sit in the back seat, so I had to return the car and rent another one for the whole day. Although I uploaded a picture of the dirty car to the system, they still charged me for the initial ride. When I called to complain, they refused to refund my money.Secondly, I rented another car but the fuel tank was almost empty, so I had to fill it up before starting my trip. However, it took me around 15 minutes to do so, and as a result, my total trip time was more than an hour (around 1 hour and 20 minutes). Unfortunately, Communauto charged me for the extra 15 minutes.Therefore, my advice to anyone renting from Communauto is to avoid filling the fuel tank unless you're renting the car for the entire day. Otherwise, you may end up paying for the time spent filling up.

Cars are always dirty and need gas. The app frequently crashes and causes issues with accessing vehicles for which there is never a credit. Not dependable and if it’s tech issue you are the one who ends up paying. It takes a long time to reach an agent. Long drives are cheaper through traditional rental services. Gave it a shot, very expensive for all the hassle.

I seriously wouldn't recommend this unless you're any urgent to rent a vehicle.Their customer service is really poor no one answer any callso prepare yourself in case of you're in any trouble with your car, they wouldn't take a phone call or it will take forever to reach themI am currently trying to cancel my membership, sending more than several cancellation messagesGUESS WHAT NOW it's been more that a month and my membership still going on and i'm still have to pay my monthly membership fee even though i haven't been used their service for months!

I use communatuo to commute almost daily and the price is way more affordable than owning a vehicle! Its accessible if you work and live in Central Edmonton; if your life is outside of the 'zone' it may not be as worth while. I would still recommend getting a membership as it's free parking so you could still save money when getting around when you are in the zone!I've also used the service in the past to go home for the holidays. My family lives over 3 hours away and I was able to get away for at less than $400 all in (including gas, mileage, etc.). The prices may have increased now as this was a few years ago but it was still really nice to have my own wheels and not rely on others.

Works well about 60% of the time. Unfortunately the cars are often dirty, low on gas, and sometimes not even available when you show up for your booking. I've missed appointments and been late for work due to delays in starting my bookings. Customer service is difficult to get a hold of, often with long wait times.

They’ve arbitrarily stolen $250 of my money and so far are refusing to give it back. Customer service will tell you the subscription works one way and then do something the complete opposite. Customer service is an absolute joke. Not a good company to deal with

I have been a user of Communauto in Edmonton for many years all the way back when it was called Pogo to now. In using other car share services in other cities in North America, its unfortunate to see a great concept executed so poorly in our region. The membership bond is a scam to hold onto as much consumer money possible and is difficult and unclear how to get refunded, the vehicles I have rented are routinely dirty and smell like smoke, vape, or pot. The app is buggy and takes some patience and has connection problems to vehicles especially in cold weather. If you need assistance prepare to wait 20-40minutes to talk to someone. Avoid if possible.
