EXIT Richmond

Exit Escape Room in Richmond was spectacular! I took my son and nephew and we all had a wonderful time!The staff member, Amy, was incredibly helpful and made sure we all had lots of fun!I'd give our experience Ten stars out of Five if it were possible. We will definitely be going back soon!

The escape room was super interesting and I had loads of fun playing it with my friend. Would definitely recommend others to try it! Also there is a new room coming introduced to us by Amy and it looks awesome! Available in 10 days for people to try out! Come if you can to try it out!! Name of the room is “Prison Break”.

Would avoid. Have experience with almost every escape room in the Lower Mainland. Had a poor experience, there was no music in The Heist"

One of two staff members was good. One of the puzzles didn’t work properly and we lost a ton of time on it. They were nice and put it back on the clock for us since there was no booking after us. Decorations were cool but puzzles themselves were very cheap. Mostly just paper and locks. Room very clearly wearing out. Lights not working, wall paper peeling, replaced parts not painted. Did not inspire me to go back when there are other places to choose from.

EXIT has some great puzzle variety. I have completed 3 escape rooms here over the last year or so. The atmosphere inside when you enter is very fitting to the theme of the place.Since I first came, it appears they added an F1 simulator racer as well. However, I believe the price was about 15 dollars per try which is fairly steep especially given that the average person will likely do very poorly in the sim if they have not tried before.The rooms themselves had some great design details. Props are well made. The theme and feel of the rooms are great!One room had a puzzle (without giving away spoilers) that could have had a player get stuck for quite a while and requires a combination of skill and luck. However, I felt that the luck component was too high and could create a soft lock condition where a player or team may never progress from that point.Most of the staff is friendly and approachable, willing to answer questions. However, on some visits there are staff who very visibly seem like they just don't want to be there. When prompted for questions they either speak very quietly without looking at you or give you quick answers as if to want to shoo you away.All in all, despite some of the negatives, I would still recommend Exit to people looking to try out some interesting escape rooms with a place that fits the vibe.

i don’t usually write reviews, but i felt the need to tonight. My friends and I have done plenty of escape rooms at numerous locations. This one was really disappointing. At almost 40$ a person, lots of the key pieces of the room were missing or not working, and the staff were unpleasant and unhelpful. My group felt like we were inconveniencing them simply by being there. A lot of the puzzles seemed to be worn down or broken, as it took a staff member to come in and adjust it for it to work. Nothing about the room was explained to us before we went in and it was overall a really disappointing experience when we had done so many rooms before with such helpful and engaging staff. I would recommend anyone go to Exit on highway 10 or in Burnaby, have had amazing experiences there every time.

Mixed feelings. It's fun to play escape games. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Games are all played in the dark holding a light source. Clues are self service, limited, and often necessary. Good back to back discount may be offered. Great location. Game master can see you, but not hear you unless you open the intercom.

This is definitely the best EXIT location in Vancouver, it’s large, spacious, and provides many different rooms. It’s right off the sky train so it’s very convenient to get to, especially if you have a group of friends.

We've done four of the rooms at the Richmond location, and they've all been quite good. Solid puzzle variety and a fair bit of interaction. The prices are still a bit high, so make sure to go on or around your birthday or on Thursday for ladies' night. With promotions like those, the cost is more reasonable.EXIT Richmond uses a tablet as means of getting hints and solving some of the puzzles you encounter. It's a unique mechanic that makes their rooms stand out. We're hoping they change up their room themes at some point so we'll have new ones to try.

Highly suggest beginners to start off with something easy.First time going there and we were put into a 4 star difficulty out of five - Couldn't even get past one milestone without using a hint... waste of time and money and became frustrating real fast.Luckily, the staff shared some secrets and let us spend more time to figure things out, but still too difficult for a beginner to enjoy.
