Coco Chicken

The staff were friendly and attentive.The sweet and spicy sauce was all right on the popcorn chicken and fried chicken. Wasn’t that spicy to be honest. By how it was displayed, it was pre-cooked chicken because the batter got quite soggy. Then they just toss the chicken with some of the sauce. For the price you’re paying, I guess it’s all right and a good quick bite to eat for other people.The rice had some spice in there which was unexpected and did not like. I prefer my rice plain with Korean fried chicken.The waffle fries were decent and crunchy, and I liked that it came with spicy mayo sauce.The place inside wasn’t appealing, and seemed more of a take out place. The place looked kind of dirty inside (although I’m sure they try to keep it clean).I personally would not recommend this place to my friends/family, and I wont be returning any time soon.

Stopped by this place while waiting around Guelph Go. Ordered chicken wings and fries from a limited menu. The wings were very good, there was no gameyness or weird aftertaste you sometimes get with Korean fried chicken. The waffle fries were good but the chicken was the star of the dish.The take out packaging was a nice eco-friendly box and lots of napkins were given.

Stopped here for lunch for something a bit different and decided to go for the Coco Bap. I definitely underestimated the portion size but that did nothing to change the fact that it was delicious.The service was fast so I wasn't left waiting long for my order. I even tried some kimchi for the first time.Would definitely come back.

Coco Chicken is the best Korean Fried Chicken I've had, and is my new addiction, blood type, and best friend. The food is plentiful, delicious, and stays crispy even after a night in the fridge when you have left overs, granted you rarely will because it's just THAT good. Honestly, order it tonight, and every night there after. The flavors are impeccable, the price point is right, and the portions are generous. Stop reading, you know everything you need to know. Don't waste time trying to make your own, or going to a competitor because Coco chicken is the GREATEST.

We stopped there for a snack on a day trip to Guelph, and were pleasantly surprised - excellent, crispy chicken and good value for money. Excellent service too. Will come back the next time I'm in town!

One of my favourite spots in town, highly recommend the coco bop meal, it’s delicious. Foods fairly priced and the staffs very nice.

We ordered the coco bap with sweet and spicy popcorn chicken, rice, Asian slaw, and a fried egg. It was really good...too generous a portion for one person! Not a great environment, but we were getting take out so didn't mind. The staff were polite and attentive.

The food was precooked and they just threw sauce on what we ordered. Very soggy chicken, was expecting crunchy and crispy. The sauce was also subpar. My expectations were set too high after reading so many good reviews. If anyone thinks this is good Korean style fried chicken, they really need to experience it somewhere else and realize that this place is just not it. Also for a fairly new place, inside seems really run down. I don't think I'll be coming back and recommend anyone thinking their getting Korean fried chicken to seek other options. Service was fine, very friendly people.

The worst part I can share from my experience here was the long waiting time for the take-away order to be ready. Everything else was great.My order of the Coco Bap (pop corn chicken + rice + egg + kimchi) was such a good value at $14.95 + tax. The serving size was big, and I was not comfortably able to finish it in 1 seating.Another dish we were able to try was the Fried Chicken Sandwich combo meal ($15.50 + tax) which was OK. I was not a big fan of how they cooked the fries. I don't like its level of hard and crunchy.Lastly, order taking is made convenient by having an option to do self-service at the kiosk inside.
