HelloWe purchased a garage package from Northland last fall and were extremely happy with the quality of materials and the help from staff throughout the build. Brent and Robert at Northland were great and helped with everything from permits to planning and were always flexible in providing package modifications to make sure I ended up with the perfect garage package to fit my needs. The material was outstanding! The carpenter I hired to assist me with the build kept commenting on how strait the lumber was and it sure made keeping things plumb allot easier. Very happy with the package and help received by Northlands staff. Make sure to talk to Brent and Robert they will help design and supply a garage that meets your needs.

We just got our dream Garage/Shop built by Northland Building Supplies and we are extremely pleased and it will be able to accommodate a hoist. We had our own design ideas and got quotes from other builders but it was NBS that we choose to work with because of their flexibility through all stages of the project. Their staff is experienced and very professional from the design and blueprint phase to the final finish. Our site manager, Brent, did an excellent job of scheduling and coordinating all of the various trades to get the job done, in spite of Edmonton’s extraordinarily wet summer weather.We are very happy with our unique Garage/Shop which is over 800 sq. ft. and designed to fit our pie-shaped lot and it’s true that NBS builds a quality product at a great price.NBS arranged the entire build and all of the trades were very skilled and did an excellent job. Since we had our own design ideas, we really appreciated that they allowed us to make minor adjustments along the way to improve on our final build.We would definitely recommend Northland Building Supplies to anyone wanting to build a garage. They were extremely flexible and with all of their experience, they gave us great suggestions and design ideas.

I had a great experience with Northland Building Supplies. I purchased vinyl siding, finishing pieces and shingles for my 8x12 shed. Sales Manager Nathan Uchacz was awesome to work with. I had a lot of questions and Nathan was quick to respond. Nathan helped me determine what materials I needed and how much. I think the value was great considering the price included delivery. Nathan was personable and I would highly recommend Northland Building Supplies for any garage/shed type projects you might have. Thanks Nathan!

Originally I had thought Northlands was excellent. I am building a large custom home. In the end, 27 of 81 trusses were wrong. They had to bring in a crane to completely remove two of the huge 3 ply girder trusses and my framer had to cut and reframe some trusses as well. Out of the 27 they replaced around a dozen were rebuilt completely. They suggested my framer was at fault for most. The balance of the 27 were designed wrong. In the end, my costs are at least half the $16000 truss bill. Framing cost and crane alone were over $3000. The owner says Maximum $2000" to fix.Suggestion: stay away from Northlands. Brutal customer service

Excellent service throughout. Nathan and Brent were easy to deal with. There were delays out of our control and communication was good but could have improved. Overall great price and product from Northlands.

I am very disappointed to their truss and joist package services. I have been working with them before for many projects, which were fine. But recently I sent them a project about 3 months ago, and then send a couple emails to follow up after that, there was no response. Until a few weeks ago when I called them, they said sorry we are busy and can't do this project. It delays my client's project for 2 months. They didn't let me know that they can't do it, even after I sent a few follow up emails. and their only answer is sorry we are too busy. I talked to their supervisor a few weeks ago, and he promised to finished the job asap, within couple week. Then I sent a email to follow up after a week, again no response. I sent another email to follow up, and finally received a response that they can't do the project. When I called again and talked to the guy who promised to provide the drawings last time, at first he said they asked for some info but no response, which is a lie, as I haven't received any email. After I said that we have never receive any email, he complained that the drawings they received is not completed, but I had sent them many similar projects before and never been asked to provide more info except this one, and if you need more info why not ask for that earlier? Until last minute when you have to explain why it is delayed for 3 months???Will NEVER use this company again!!

Our home, built in 2020 was supplied with roof trusses from Northland, with the builder being New Era Luxury Homes. We have had an abnormal (not within acceptable tolerance limits) amount of truss lift and abnormal deflection from truss loading. In the worst spots in the home, the deflection and truss uplift is in excess of two inches and has destroyed the drywall throughout the entire second floor of the house. We had to hire a structural engineer out of our own pocket to help identify the cause and possible solutions, and it was pointed out that there is an engineering problem with the trusses which requires further engineering calculations to be done at a cost of thousands of dollars to see where the manufacturer went wrong with truss design and construction. I wish I could give a positive review, but with this experience that is not possible.

I contacted Northlands for a garage package and it was a great experience from the first conversation with Robert to the sign off with Brent. I had limited space to build and wanted to make sure I could maximize use of the space. With an existing structure on one side and an easement on the other, they designed an 11' x 25' garage with 10' walls, aligned perfectly with my existing garage. Communication was excellent and Brent made sure I was informed of every step along the way. The project was delayed due to weather a couple times but when the trades were there working, they worked hard and were respectful of the property. These guys are the experts and will work with you from start to finish as well as checking in after to make sure things were still good. You can't go wrong with Northlands.

Northland Building Supplies built my garage this May. I received a 10% discount for an early Spring booking. The company offers to do the permit paperwork for Edmonton builds for a fee but I chose to do it myself. Part way through the process, I had difficulties and Brent helped me complete the forms. This was just the beginning of service that was much better than expected. I also wanted to switch the front door of my house to the garage and buy a new front. Brent sourced a front door for me and supplied a contractor to do the actual change. The garage went up quickly and without any concerns. To date, this has been the best service I have received since I moved to Edmonton. My house is a new build and I needed to work with a lot of companies and contractors to get the house and yard completed. I would highly recommend Northland Building Supplies.

Working with Northland Building Supplies was an absolute pleasure! I am a volunteer with a community league and our project was dependent on grant funding and board input. As such, the process can be a bit drawn out. Brent was amazingly patient and helpful throughout the entire process. He was accommodating and incredibly accessible for the entire duration of our project. I have worked with a lot of contractors and I would say that my experience with Northland is one of the best that I have had. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family!
