I purchased a Freestyle spa in the summer of 2019. I dealt with Drew who was pleasant to speak with and knowledgeable about their products. There was good follow-up communication from their staff as to when my unit would arrive and scheduling the delivery. They showed up at the arranged time, delivered the unit without issue, and came back once the tub was full to make sure everything was working well.I have always been treated well when in their store having water tested, whether I was buying chemicals or not.This year I had one small issue with the tub and I was extremely impressed with their quality of service. My call was returned quickly and Rob came out to take a look the next day. He diagnosed the problem and returned with the parts to fix everything.I would highly recommend Diplomat to anyone!

I could not be more pleased with Rob and the rest of the crew at Diplomat Pools & Spas. Extremely knowledgeable and professional. Because of them, my family and I have enjoyed our backyard this winter more than we have in the last 30 years combined. The spa they recommended is running great, no problems whatsoever! I’ve had the spa now for 7 months (since Aug 2019). Thanks to Rob and Diplomat Pools & Spas, our backyard can now be enjoyed every season.

I was having pool problems (it began to turn green with algae). The boys in the store were very helpful in addressing my problem. want to give a special shout-out to a young gentleman named ethan who went above and beyond and showed me the proper chemicals to use to clear my pool and now it looks great and my kids are overjoyed.

Sold me liquid chlorine that had no smell whatsoever. Added it straight to our outdoor pool and the chlorine and it did not increase the chlorine level at all. I purchased over 20 liters and I am disappointed, what made the experience even WORSE is the fact that they told me it was purchased on saturday! Lost a customer

The store employees give wrong chemicals to do business and when you come back to talk the owner threats to call police. Stay away from this store. She doesn’t know I work with city and calling police to citizen of this country. Worst store I ever came. I Laugh when I spoke to police regarding this issue. Waiting to take them court for threatening me in the store, I was with 2 kids and she is calling police against me and my kids.please for your family safety stay away from this store.

Customer service here is FANTASTIC. I have been going to Diplomat for over a year and they know my name and help me right when I walk in the door. I had never had a pool before and I have many questions that they help me with and are very patient. All the people in the store have been very helpful and kind to me. I knew nothing about pools and they made me feel comfortable and taught me everything I need to know. They have never tried to upsell me and their prices are reasonable.

My neighbours were right! they warned me about the diplomat.. (esp the lady who owns it the business!) And my neighbours has owned pools over 20yrs.. Just imagine the REPEAT customers they lost because of bad customer attidude (particularly the owner)I owned an above ground pool before at my old house and was going to pool mates on kingston because it was closer to me.Pool mates would test my pool water no problem and would buy there things that I needed. But then it was too far from me..since i bought another home with an inground pool 2 mins from diplomat..for convenience it became my go to store..sometimes they were closed and needed chlorine asap.. so I would drive additional 10min to international pool..just to get chlorine.But I still kept going back to diplomat coz it was closer to me.Funny because the 8-10x i’ve been diplomat since I moved in the area a yr ago.. the lady owner always hovers around everyone to check if all her nice employees and everyone was doing things right or i dont know.. if i was her employees I would be annoyed and think i cant do my job.Poor boys..So today.. I went to get 3 cholorine fills and actually decided to get my water tested.. while waiting I read the warning sign about water and testing and make sure we buy their chemicals etc.. i found it very weird but whatever.So the guy told me i needed more stabilizer (the pucks that dissolved like forever) and calcium.I told them that I still had calciums at home from previous owners that I want to finish (the diplomat lady owner had asked to show me picture of the brand which I did and SHE SAID ITS NOT FROM THERE) and i also asked if they have powder version of stabilizers coz i didnt want more pucks and they said they dont have.So I decided to just pay for my 3 chlorine $48.So this what happened why I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN!!It was very rude of the lady to even asked me for picture of my chemicals at home.. PLUS SHE DIDNT WANT TO GIVE ME MY TEST RESULTS.. I think she even hid it so the boys couldnt find it.. they were willing to print out another one for me BUT THE LADY OWNER SAID NO.. i’m like What the?!?Coz I wasnt buying the calcium which I still had at home and the stabilizer pucks that I also still have but also wanted the powder version.But I still bougut 3 chlorines from there which the test said I also needed.I also was planning to get the pool cover tranpoline style liner from there to close this yr.. but not anymore.MORE FUNNY STORIES… I went to international pool right after to get powdered stabilizer.. and I told them my bad experience with diplomat and they said shes heard many stories from customers who had same issue with the owner at diplomat.. and an actual pool owner that I met at the parking lot who lives close by to diplomat too couldnt stop telling me their bad stories too.. thats why they dont mind driving additional distance for good service.To the lady owner.. all the best. Hope u hear what many negative reviews about you.. so you dont lose more REPEAT business.

Wow talk about bad customer service. Overpriced product and extremely poor customer service.At the beginning of the last pool opening season, I called to ask if they were open for water testing. They noted they were. I went over for the water testing and they took my sample. Once they did the testing, they came back with over $150 worth of products to purchase. I told them I had a lot of the products and only need liquid chlorine. At this point the main lady became infuriated and told me that I should not waste their time if I was not going to purchase their chemicals. I told her nobody told me that I needed to purchase all of the chemicals in order for me to get a water test done.I will not be going back to this place again (I haven't since). There is a Discounter's pool and spa warehouse that opened up in Ajax that I go to, which is significantly better in terms of service (and pricing).

Rob was amazing! So kind and and so helpful. He took the time to ask me questions to better understand me and to assist with my needs further. Made my experience much easier. Thank you so much, Rob!

A couple weeks ago this summer 2021 our family patiently awaiting our pool’s opening for the season encountered a set back with our floor vacuumand went immediately to Diplomat in Pickering Kingston Road without a call or an appointment set. Not only were all the gentleman there willing to be of help, certainly prompt and courteous they all had their hands full while extremely busy handling a full shop. Nick offered to take a thorough look inside our pool vacuum, took it apart and installed the necessary filter without hesitation instead of just selling us the part we asked for and leaving us all to our own ingenuity without asking for as much as a repair fee. Incredible workmanship as well work ethic!! My entire family were able to enjoy swimming in a clean pool straight from the jump thanks to the staff at this Diplomat Pools location.
