This was my first time back since the renovation- I was very excited because Stillwater had been my favourite spa in the City. I decided to take a friend for her birthday. The experience was very disappointing. The woman who greeted us at the front desk was very cold. No tour or info really about the spa.Upon entering the amenities were lacking as was the seating area while you waited for your treatment- somehow it already looks tired. My massage wasn't great. The masseuse kept cracking my joints- which has lead to a lot of soreness and at one point I thought my wrist might have been injured. He did mention he was quite new to the profession. Also compared to the Four Seasons or Ritz Spas this felt more like a sports clinic than a luxury hotel spa. When we were leaving I again reiterated at the front desk that the I was treating my friend to her massage. The same cold front desk staff showed zero tact and instead blurted out the total instead of just printing the invoice and showing it to me.I think for the price of the services you are much better off at Four Seasons or Ritz.

As much as I loved my massage I was quite taken aback that w such an expensive massage they automatically include 18% gratuity. I think that gratuity should be a choice and not automatically instated . I’ve never had that experience at any other spa. At the very least it should be clearly stated prior to booking or mentioned when booking. I had also requested the masseuse wear a mask when I filled out the pre screening questions and he did not . I didn’t bother asking him to but why ask the question if you don’t read it?

First time back to this spa after their 3 to 4 year renovation. Personally enjoyed the layout and ambiance of their pre-renovation Spa, but this one too was enjoyable, sleek, modern and a good experience. Massage was excellent. Lounge away small and cozy. Great service.

Place is very clean and definitely has the relaxed atmosphere. Both RMT's were/are amazing. Checked all the boxes to our needs.Very overpriced and why the four star? Upon checking out the person who cashed us out told us how much of a tip to leave. She told us that 60 dollars to each RMTs is what to leave. So it tainted the mood. We had planned on leaving a good tip but being told what to leave is crossing a line.

After being closed for several years for renovations, Stillwater has finally re-opened - just about 4 weeks ago. My experience was solid as it has been in the past. Stephanie, the Spa concierge, was friendly, attentive, and responsive; I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

Stillwater Spa
It is serene, light, orderly and pristine. I now use the Phytomer brand and have seen a remarkable shift in my skin’s suppleness, resiliency and nature. I do not need to wear the makeup I did before. The Phytomer facial detoxified, cleansed and replenished my tired skin, restoring its natural state. Stillwater Spa is a space that enables transformative experiences that I’m always excited to share with loved ones.

How to ruin a spa sanctuary. What was once a fabulous, relaxing retreat in the city is now a sterile, ho-hum hotel spa. Honestly, this could be a spa at an airport hotel. Definitely not at the Park Hyatt level since the reno. Not cozy, not luxurious.Prices have doubled since they reopened (previously <$200 for a massage, now $340) and there are less facilities (no more hot tub, no more individual loungers with TV). Common lounge area is small & not comfortable. Very small nail polish colour selection.Worst part - moth infestation that staff were somehow unaware of! Within 5 minutes of being there I saw 6 moths in the change room, washroom and nail service areas. Yikes! Before the reno I would go there a few times a year and leave refreshed. This time I just felt ripped off and unsatisfied. Won’t be back when there are so many other great spas (Four Seasons, Hammam, The Ritz).
