Hertz Car Rental - Niagara Falls - Military Road HLE

Got a defective car from Buffalo airport, needed to change it out at Niagara. Arrived at 440pm. Was in terminal 445. Supposed to be open until 5. Not a soul around. Must have packed up after last flight. 5pm is 5pm. You don't leave at 4-430 or whenever you want. So I was left with a noisy car for my shopping in Niagara and the trip back to Buffalo. What a joke. This location also manages two other brands and another couple was left stranded or driving a defective car from another brand.

What a bad business practice to allow someone to book a car online only to call them a couple hours later and tell you they don't have a car and are cancelling the reservation. Especially when you're 3 hours from home without a vehicle and need to leave in the morning.

Never will I rent from there again, I was called a racist by the person on the phone. Do your self a favor don't rent from there, they might call you a racist!

First they didn’t have the car that I reserved, they claim they updated my reservation. I go see the car and it’s filthy.. it wasn’t even touched by a cleaner. When I when back I asked them to get another car and the guy says it’s not available just to find out he was driving that car so I ended up taking a lower grade car that was just terrible, it had so many issues. Then I fill up the car all the way and refill it again when I got there by tops and then I find a fuel charge on my account. I called the manager and he said it will be refunded within 30 days and nothing happened. They are just horrible, no respect at all to clients!

These guys were very nice. It was a very easy in and out. We enjoyed working with them.

Car was rented with overdue oil change light on and was dirty (rice on the seats). Almost every time the car was halted, it was stop and then restart when you press the accelerator. This caused hesitation and lurching. Very disappointing considering the expense.

Normally, I like renting a car from Hertz, but I would never recommend renting a car from the Hertz at Niagara Falls airport. The location closes at 5:00 before most flights get in. I really don't understand why this is allowed at an airport. AND forget about trying to call a human being. No one answers the phone. Never again.

Terrible service, not enough cars for people order it from online, over charge from credit card after return, I would never rent car from it again.

Booked a rental car because mine went into the shop. I paid, got a confirmation number. I even picked the “managers special” option where I literally will take any vehicle they give me. No preference. I get there and Give them my name. The clerk says “we don’t have any cars”. No alternative given. No sorry. No explanation. Terrible service, but it’s not even their fault. Why is the hertz website taking and confirming reservations they cannot fulfill? Awful experience all around.
