Famijoy Supermarket

Although this is a small store, it carries all necessities from groceries, fast food and drink, seafood, poultry and meat to fresh vegetables, frozen food and snacks.The store is well organized and clean. Merchandise is well displayed. Fast food counter and cooking area are open and clean. I will try their sim sum next time as they look pretty good.

Great quality of veggies and fruits at a very compatible price. The take away food is good but pricey. They don't carry much variety like the bigger Asian food grocery stores in Mississauga, but it understandable since it's tasteless Oakvillians we are talking about.

Updated - manager wanted to call the police for taking pictures!!!!!I visited for the thrid time on 2020 oct 3rd 10:20 am.I was noticing more meats, more take out selections from previous visits. I got excited and started taking pictures to share and one employee walked up to me and asked me to stop taking pictures. I asked why and he told me to delete my pictures or he will call the police!!!!I asked if he was the manager and he said he was. I dont think that is how you treat your customers. I was excited to mention your improved selections since my last visit but throw that away. 4 star to 1 star now. Worst customer experience, I felt threatened. so be aware reviewers, don't go here and review this place because they are too sensitive and they do not welcome us and they want to call police on us.Note these pictures are from my first visit and I did not update any new pictures since they are so strict about it.

Always frustrating experience in the store. Nobody speaks English and nobody tries to do anything to understand you.When you ask questions at fresh food section (dim sum) employees get frustrated and don’t want to help you. Tall guy for example just turned away and left.English is not my first language. However, we live in Canada and must respect its language and traditions.Calling customer service is a joke. Noone picks up most of the time. When they do, they don’t speak English as well.If you decided to open a store please hire at least few employees who are able to communicate and help out people.

Finally an Asian grocery store in Oakville! This place has all the essentials without having to travel farther to Mississauga. Although it is a bit pricier compared to others, the prices are still decent! The store is definitely marketed towards a fancier demographic, but I like all the options they have for diverse flavours and products! Vegans and vegetarians will love the bulk options for tofu (4 blocks in one) and tofu nuggets they sell as well. Lots of wonderful plastic free produce which is awesome to see! They even have bulk bean sprouts! There are hot tables located on the right hand side, wasn't sure if any were vegan friendly. All in all, staff was friendly and helpful and I will definitely return in the future!

Simply put, It is expensive. I had different vibes as i went through the store. maybe I went on a wrong day or a wrong time.They do have all the regulars you would expect from your Chinese store.

Great store with a nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and amazing products! I go here mainly to buy the fresh fruits and vegetables because they are so much better quality than other stores. They also make the best lemon, mushroom and sesame chicken. I recommend famijoy to everyone!

Checked out and the lady did not bag my groceries. Then as I started bagging my own groceries she started bagging the groceries of the gentleman behind me. When asked why she said she only did it for certain people? Hot table was done and cleaned up at 6 PM when posted business hours were 10 PM. Such a let down for I had brought an out of town guest to try the hot table.

Almost every week I go shopping at famijoy but always the same experience the staff are not friendly, the cashier is rude especially the young lady she looks like not happy on her job. They will never help you or even just give you a smile. And yesterday I went there but most of the shelves is empty. The seafood section and meat is still empty. Most of the staff have a long face luckily famijoy is the only Asian store here in oakville if have another one I will not buy there anymore. Please teach your staff to be friendly and approachable.

I saw many fruits, vegetables and other food I never seen before. My first time in Asian food store.Cash register are pretty inconvenient thought. You literary need to stand between two to get your stuff
