Vancouver Donations

As a single disabled person who can’t drive I was holding onto so much good clothing, shoes, toys, games, and small useful electronics that I no longer had use for. I really wanted them to go to a good cause but was stuck not able to take them anywhere.I booked pick up via the website and left 2 big boxes and an enormous garbage back outside my central downtown apartment building at 7am. By around 9am I had a phone call to check where things were. They picked them up and a week later I got a lovely email thanking me for the donations and telling me the good causes it’s supporting: MOM’s Canada, Ukraine Harmony Foundation, and Atira.Thank you Vancouver Donations! I’m so happy I don’t have to throw perfectly good things away.All the 1* reviews need to remember this is a FREE service for good causes. They aren’t a business and it’s not a service we pay for. They are SERVING the community (including those with donations).

I had scheduled a pickup this morning for two bags. Received text and email last night they would be coming to collect. I also received a text this morning for pickup at 7am. Well all the reviews about how they cancel last minute is true. People should donate elsewhere as I’m sure other donation places would value your donations. Avoid this company.

The process is always efficient and easy. Pick up and prompt and effortless. As I was raised by a single mom, it feels good to donate to VD to help single parent families and others in need. They are my go to for donations.

I have been donating clothing and other items for a few years now to Vancouver Donations and they have always been such a pleasure to work with. Their initiatives and efforts to help women and children are very inspiring.The donation pick-up option makes it very convenient for me to be able to donate more often. Thank you Vancouver Donations for all of your hard work!

Overall very good experience! Came during the time slot and picked everything up. Only thing I would change is sending the reminder earlier. I got the reminder at 10pm the night before. Sending it in the morning would be better. Pickup was so convenient for me since I have no car and use a wheelchair.

Love this service. I had a ton of stuff I wanted to donate and didn’t want to drop it off at places like value village or thrift shops which are just going to resell & make a profit for themselves. So far they’ve come 3x this month. Just simply leave everything outside & they come & grab it - quick and easy and I love that the stuff is actually going towards a good use & people that really need it. I will continue to use this service & recommend to anyone I know looking to donate their things :)

Great place to send donations. Schedule a pickup online and with a minimum of 3 bags they will come get them within a day’s time window. They can be left outside for them.

I feel like this service is the best kept secret in Vancouver. All the stuff my kids outgrow? The next day it’s picked up and whisked off to moms and kids who need it. What could be better?!

Very good service . They gave me estimate they can come anytime between 7 am to 5 pm . They arrived around 12:30 . And pick everything what I left outside
