Very suspicious of all the 5 star reviews. Either I got two consecutively poor pours (both sour) and they were having an off day, or other reviewers arent evaluating their espresso. Both orders were regular lattes, and neither were anywhere near the standard of Iconoclast, Transcend, Coffee Bureau or Lock Stock. Particularly disappointing for a local roaster. Service was pleasant and environment is nice minimalist industrial. Maybe this is harsh and should be 3 stars, but quality was nowhere near the consistent 5s in reviews. Not even close.

Thoroughly enjoyed visiting Candid! They have a beautiful upstairs seating area with hip couches and cool rugs. The staff were great and very helpful. The cinnamon knot and Brie sandwich were just lick your lips delicious

So many good roasters in Edmonton but candid has been at the top of my list for a while now. Some very interesting coffees but they are so well done! And Levi is just a great human!!!

The worst coffee I’ve had in Edmonton. The cold brew was so sour it was undrinkable. The employee said their coffee was supposed to taste sour like a fermented bean. It would be nice to know this in advance of ordering since the menu just says “cold brew”. No refund was offered - coffee went straight in the trash. Very disappointing.

Industrial minimalist vibe. Not a ton of seating, but the loft is neat. Minimalist menu, but the Brie pesto prosciutto bagel was delicious.

They had a very delicious London Fog, Chai and Butter Cake! I was pleasantly surprised and happy to have tried this great, little cafe! Will definitely be back.

Nice little place, coffee was good and I had this excellent bagel with brie cheese and prosciutto on it, delicious!, The owner is the most down to earth guy, always very friendly and approachable.

Candid is a two-floor roastery with a great energy. The baristas are friendly and knowledgeable. My pour over stood out as flavourful. The prosciutto bagel was also tasty. I went with my wife and son for our first visit, and we'll be back to pick up more beans.Con: the Yankees apparel =)

the chai tea latte is out of this world and i loved the cute lil design on top. i am in love with the aesthetic and the comfortable vibes of this place. will definitely be back time and time again
