I enjoyed this museum more than the Vancouver Art Gallery. Great permanent exhibit about the history of the Vancouver area, plus some very well curated and interesting exhibits. Worth the trip, plus it's close to so many other things to do, including Granville Market.

I adored my visit here! The special exhibit about Canadian design renegade Tobias Wong was fascinating!Take a walk through Vancouver’s history as well as Chinese and Indigenous artifacts. Plan for 90-120 minutes then take a stroll along the sea wall if the weather allows.Ample pay parking.Pay what you can on Sundays! Highly recommended.

My overall experience was very informative. There are many artifacts ranging from First Nations culture to the late 20th century. While there are many virtual displays, there are a ton of word based information so be prepared to read a lot if you want to make the most from here. The atmosphere was peaceful, front counter service was good and the fee is reasonable. Just note that parking here will cost you.

Great location for arts and artifacts. Easy to move around and explore the exhibitions because there are screens with videos explaining the arts. Easy accessibility for baby strollers and seniors

Fun place to hangout. The parking is 7.99$ per hour which is expensive. You can find 2 hours free parking in the street close by.

They have rotating exhibitions. It's usually pretty quiet. The neon exhibit is good for photos but the neon lights make portraits and selfies look a bit off. They have a sort of time capsule area with what interior decorating was like in old Vancouver. Also one time there was a beaver who lived in the pond behind the museum.

Interesting place to visit with slightly older kids. There are some good information on the history of the area from nature to indigenous to modern Vancouver. You can easily spend a couple hours here; however, that would require serious interest, concentration, and reading. If you aren't as into the history, then you can simply enjoy the exhibits, videos, and artifacts. The boys found the car the most interesting, and my daughter's attention was captured by the women's rights exhibit. Overall, I'd recommend the museum as a secondary stop, but probably won't recommend it as the primary visit.

I have been to the MOV a few times before, and I have always enjoyed it. I love the 25 cents jukebox! I also love the historic town. This time, I went specifically for Dressed for History. The exhibit was interesting. I would have loved to see more dresses from different cultures/eras, but I guess it would be a much bigger exhibit.

Currently exhibiting Tobias Wong‘s special corner. Creative and sensual artifacts in there. In other, in Canada exhibition, there is history from nation born to current time in sequencially. It’s very useful to understand culture and human. But museum is not that big and audio guide is not available.

Slightly smaller museum but very well laid out and the exhibits are wonderful. Only warning is the bathrooms downstairs are very old and dirty. The small garden on the lower floor is cute.
