Lloyd's Patty Plus

I've been coming to Lloyd's for over 30 years. Spicy Chicken Patty is all I buy and occasional Few pounds of Jerk Chicken. I get the craving and arrive excited... every time. The flavours are consistent to fix the craving....but the disappointment of being stabbed through the heart by an old friend, as I see the size of the Patty shrinking over the years. It has become a quarter of what it used to be. The filling used to be meaty and would gently flow out of the sides on the first bite, hot and spicy with a crispy crust and 2 patties with kola would fill you up.....alas now it's just a tablespoon of filler paste with chicken flavor. I understand inflation and would rather pay alittle more for a good solid product than to receive a disappointing sample size of air that leaves you hungry and in tears. This does not represent Jamaica. You never leave Jamaica sad and hungry...Jah Bless Jamaica. Amazing spicy beef patties. The crust is so flaky and buttery. Good location because there are other good food establishments in the same plaza.Really enjoy being served by the gentleman who is usually there. Was recently served by a lady who had poor body language when taking my order and payment. I would give them a 5 if customer interactions were consistently positive.

Just picked up two Pattie’s from here, a regular chicken and spicy beef. Served hot and tasted great.

Got 2 spicy patties and was greeted with a smile and a friendly hello from the nice lady at the counter. So not sure why people are saying the service is poor. An older gentleman came over and said hello to me as well then greeted the next customer by name. The patties were really good but I made the mistake of eating them super fast with a large Tim Hortons coffee, do NOT do this, you've been warned!

I bought some spicy beef patties this week. The pastry is fine but there was hardly any beef in inside, ! Quality of patties has gone down. I know things are more expensive nowadays but please put more filling inside and charge more for it.i absolutely do not mind paying more !

Owner is very nice, we came in for some patties, and he had us sample some of his Trinidadian" jerk chicken

Lloyd's Jamaican patties are absolutely amazing. We normally pick up a couple of dozen frozen patties and warm them up when the craving hits. The first time we wondered in there (many years ago), the gentlemen was so kind and polite. The store was actually closed at the time, and he was there to pickup something. He then offered to heat up a couple of the Jamaican patties for us. We have been hooked ever since. Their jerky chicken and oxtail are equally awesome! At times, their customer service may seem cold or even rude, but they are actually really nice people and their food is incredibly delicious.

Ordered a dozen of spicy beef. The crust is amazing, flaky but doesn't fall apart in your hands. The filling is too mushy for my liking, it's almost like eating some sort of paste or mashed potatoes. The spicy level is very mild (I wish there was maybe an extra spicy option).
