Confederation Park dog park

A pretty large dog park with a water fountain. Dirt and grass cover the area, the grass gets pretty tall. Lots of space for dogs to run around. I like that it's fairly quiet on off hours. Check both gates before letting your pup loose, there have been times the doors get frozen and stuck in the winter.

I love this hidden gem! It's right next to a high school so I don't think I would go on a week day during school hours. But I go in the evenings or weekends. Great replacement for the NDG park that is currently closed for renovations. They are just missing a water source!!

Great park wirh lots if space, running track, sports field and a huge dog area! Awesome!!

Nice big run with friendly, attentive owners. The park is clean and well maintained. Lots of places to sit, lots of trees for shade. There is a water fountain for furry friends! Can be dusty in hot/dry weather - white doggos take note!

Beautiful park, very good dog runs. Unfortunately some people litter and don't clean up after themselves.

Love the track. The park is bustling in the Spring-Summer. All sorts of people enjoying the field, hanging out, working out.

Very large park divided by Fielding Ave. With swimming pool and indoor and outdoor skating arenas. Nice park for young kids. North side has a track and field terrain. There's a dog park at the north end.

I try to take my dog there every day. That dog park deserves a higher rating but to be fair, it has a lot of things that should be improved and some that can't be improved.Good points:Most dog owners going there are responsible and ensure their dogs behave well. You have a bunch of regulars and you can expect to see the same people all the time.Points to improve:- maintenance: the grass was only cut once throughout the summer. Before that, we couldn't find the dog's poop because of the height of the grass.During spring, the melted snow formed a thick layer of ice made of pee and snow. It was dangerous and not clean to let the dogs play there. And it took months for it to drain.- no access to water for the dogs. Some dog parks in the same neighbourhood (NDG park for example) have water fountains with an access for dogs. At this park, you'd have to leave the dog by himself to go to the closest water fountain.- signalisation: one of the entrance has a sign that mentions no dogs allowed.
