Kind and friendly service. We ordered Mixed Momos, Grilled (beef) momos, and Veggie chow mien. For take-out the presentation was excellent (clean and not a mess in the container) and the food was delicious.We personally weren't a fan of the veggie momos, but that was preference as everything else was superb!Thank you, we hope to visit again sometime.

First off its so exciting to have a Tibetan restaurant in Oshawa. Totally unexpected but welcomed. The food here is delicious and i would definitely recommend it.The highlight here are the momos! So I should mention I don't usually like veggies or veggies dumplings. But we ordered the mixed momo and it came with veggie. This was honestly the best choice I could have made. If the mixed momos didn't come with veggie momos I never would have been able to try them. The veggie momos were packed with flavor and the best veggie dumpling I've had ever, in any cuisine or restaurant. This was very surprising for me but I cannot wait to try them again. All the momos were delicious and full of flavor. The chicken was tasty and I really enjoyed the sha-bhaglep tiebetan beef patties. They were juicy, lots if meat and the tomato sauce they come with helps to really balance the flavors. I should warn the spicy dipping sauce is very spicy so if you aren't good with spicy, take it slow.We enjoyed everything. We got the beef chow mein, momo poutine and the phing sha.This was our first time trying Tibetan food and definitely won't be our last. The couple running the restaurant are very very kind and sweet. The restaurant is very clean and tidy. I will definitely be back to try more momos.Thank you Momo Mantra for a great first experience and introducing us to a new cuisine. I look forward to coming again soon!

** update to my last review- we ordered the chowmein & chilli chicken. Although really good & flavourful, the portion size for the chilli chicken is small.-------This place is incredibly delicious! I always it from Uber eats & always arrives hot & so good! I can basically eat my body weightin the Momos. My fav is Alfredo momo!

A delightful treat.Tibetan restaurants are a rarity in general, but I imagine even more so in Oshawa.The gentle and genteel manner in which the female owner interacts with you seems so indicative of what I perceive of the Tibetan culture.Momos, a variant of a dumpling, are a staple in Tibetan cuisine and you can have them served steamed, fried or pan seared.The menu has a very limited selection of dishes; a good thing that allows the establishment to focus on serving the best. In the kitchen, you can see and hear them chopping as they freshly prepare the food.The prices are very fair. I ordered 10 beef momos for $10. I recently saw another restaurant price the food for 50% more.As you can see from the picture, the momos are served with a small salad, a hot sauce and that larger bowl of soup or dipping sauce? I had my momos fried. The outer layer was chewy and the insides juicy. Light and simple flavours.The space is very sparse, but why spend so much on unnecessary details especially when you're a new restaurant.Great value for money, go and try something new.

We stopped at this cozy little restaurant for lunch on our way back from Montreal to Chicago. We were so pleased that we stopped for a sit down lunch instead of a drive thru fast food. This restaurant is a real gem serving authentic Tibetan food. We ordered 2 kinds Veggie Momo's ( dumplings) and Veggie Chowmien ( stir fried noodles). All the food was very fresh and super flavorful. They made the Momo's from scratch!!We also had some nice tea with ginger.This is a family owned restaurant and they are so polite and friendly. The service was excellent. We would highly recommend this restaurant if you want to try something new!!

The food was fantastic, plus cash discount. The owner made it fresh right in front of us. The place is also very clean. My kid even got a free drink from his mom.

Visited on a Saturday evening with family. The restaurant is new and clean and run by a small local family of very friendly Tibetans. How much more authentic can you get?The food is fairly priced as well and TASTY! We enjoyed their momo (dumpling) fusion dishes like the poutine momo... so delicious! The picture in this review is the poutine momo. they also offer other kinds of momos like chicken, beef, veggie, etc.They make everything from scratch by hand in the back and even offered us some homemade rice pudding for dessert, which was very good. Their water is also filtered, not tap, if that's something you prefer!Definitely a great place to try and keep coming back to. Recommended!
