I.O.D.E. Fountain
Imperial Order of the Daughters of the Empire. That's what I.O.D.E is. This is a neat monument. Imported from England for a Guelph centennial a hundred plus years ago. The fountain itself does not work. The city plants nice flower beds each spring nearby. This year they have planted a magnificent display of succulents. The parkette has large maple trees and has benches that are good for a shady breezy spot in the summer. The fountain stone needs a pressure washing and the wood structure needs a new paint job.
