Just wanted to share how impressed and happy I am the passport photo service at Watsons. We currently live in Winnipeg but are originally from GP.I have a 3 year old son that did not want to sit for a Passport photo. We tried at least 7 places in Winnipeg, including private photo stores and big chain stores. When my son wouldn’t sit properly or be to energetic, nobody would really bother trying. This last July we were in GP visiting family for a week and a friend recommended, we try Watsons since they had a private room for our son having heard the drama we had in Winnipeg. Having nothing better to we went. I forget the lady name but she was wonderful. She got down on the ground with him she made faces and got a photo. The best part was when the first photo was rejected by Service Canada in GP she re-took the photos for free getting on the ground and doing everything all over again. Thankfully, the second photos were accepted, and we recently got his passport in the mail.This honestly was the first place that actually cared about getting us a passport photo for our son. This is honestly the first place that didn’t give up as soon as he didn’t pose properly. She would not give up until she got a passport photo. Honestly, if this was a little gem of a store. Thank you Watson. We can now travel thanks to you guys. I really am jealous we do not have you guys in Winnipeg.

Grad group photo. Very mean and aggressive and very disorganized. Photo not even up to standard (poor quality) not worth the money

Picked up my grandson grad photos today. Paid a lot of money for a plastic frame with no glass. The picture itself was wonderful. How am I suppose to keep it dust free? $250 for a plastic frame.

No communication when it came to picking photos to send to the school, sent wrong photo. Also very uncoordinated and quite frankly rude. For the grad group photo, they ignored the schools positions and put everyone into bad positions

Purchased a photo session for my wife's birthday present I was told they could load up a gift card and she could pick what she wants. Paid for a session and a 250.00 gift card. We get photo session booked for a couple months later ( family photos ) the session went well but once we get confirmation they are completed we not only received rude service but our 250 dollar gift card can bearly pay for any of the finished photo products.....that's not what I was told when I made the initial purchase.... very very over priced....to say the least

Grad pictures came out horrible. The picture is poor quality, the photographers were agresivly damanding and disorganized. The picture wasnt worth the money paid. There was zero communication between the graduats and the photographers.

The quality of the photos is great! Using the computers they have i was able to select the images and size i wanted, and then it was printed im less than an hour.

Watsons photo source went above and beyond when helping us print photos for a family memorial. The enlarged a photo and made it absolutely perfect for the memorial display, and worked to get all the photos done in a very prompt time frame. They even helped my mom pick out an appropriate frame for it to go inside. I can’t say enough praise for their help during that hard time for our family. It is now the only place locally that I will develop photos.

Staff provide inconsistent information. Photo poses (like the grad caps) do not align with images on brochures. Black on black poses are part of the training, which produce flawed results. Limited choice with so few decent poses. Unwillingness of owner to acknowledge the misinformation from her staff who had offered a fix in rebooking and then charged for it after the fact. There is also an unwillingness of owner to set a higher standard of training as the flat cap, black on black positioning, and passive “S” curve for females, are some of the limitations of how they train. I’m completely underwhelmed by the experience and product of what should have been a great moment of celebration. We only booked here for the grad class set, but it was not worth the frustration and the lack of professionalism. In hindsight, she should have sat for the basic photo that is part of her grad fees and taken the mediocre product for the yearbook and then we could have used her cap and gown from the school to take our own professional photos. The schools are releasing gowns to grads more than a month ahead of the ceremony, which could allow for this option. If you do book at this studio, Destiny is the staff member with the saving grace. She was able to produce a second set that ultimately looked at every error in set one and took an entirely different approach with lighting and poses. She was a lone professional in a sea of chaos. The overall impression after an unproductive conversation with the owner is that I highly recommend any other option. Our grads should be treated to a higher standard of care and the majority of staff at this location cannot even acknowledge their shortcomings, let alone consider what it may take to improve.

I got my graduation photos done at Watson's with Destiny, and it was an awesome experience! She was very sweet, polite, and informative. Would love to get photos done here again :)
