Trained by Steph

We highly recommend Trained by Steph for all of your training needs! She has worked magic with our rescue dog, Lumi. Steph has really taught us how to communicate with our dog so that she knows exactly what we are asking of her. She is extremely knowledgable, and has taught us evidence-based positive reinforcement techniques, which has allowed us to train our dog new things on a continual basis (from the basics to fun tricks). Steph has provided us with such helpful and informative handouts for all of our training needs. She is also extremely available - providing ample support outside of designated training times (we learned polite walking outside of our regular training hours - no other place does this!). In 1 session alone, our dog who knew 0 commands had learned 3 basic commands! We were honestly in shock! Steph is also just so kind and wonderful. (We don't ever want to stop training with her honestly!). If you are looking for someone who truly cares about your dog and your training experience, do yourself a huge favour and choose Trained by Steph - I promise you will not be disappointed!

We came across Steph online and saw all the wonderful reviews so we decided to reach out to her. Working with Steph has been absolutely wonderful! Training with Steph was really great. She shared her knowledge and concepts in a way I could understand and I could easily put them into action with Ziggy. Right away I noticed a 360 change on our walks and the way my pup was no longer reactive to other dogs. She gives you the tools and trains you to be able to show your Dog what they are capable of. I contacted a few different dog training companies. The minute I got off the phone with Steph, I knew that she was the one to choose! She has a wealth of knowledge about dog behaviour to share with you. I saw immediate positive changes in my lil baby dog, Ralphie, after working with Steph. Ralphie can’t type, but if she could she’d tell you all the ways in which her life has improved since the training. Myself and my partner loved working with Steph! I was having so much trouble with my dog having accidents in the house, being reactive to dogs and people on walks and through the apt hallways, and chasing after my cats. He was really overwhelmed in puppy classes and just humped me the whole time so I didn’t feel that I got much from it. The money was worth it for us and it was tailored to our lifestyle and my dog’s needs. After just the first lesson we went from 3-5 messes inside per day to 2 in a week! I couldn’t believe it. She gave lots and lots of pointers and I feel so much closer to my dog; able to read his body language and help him with reactions that are both natural for him and formed early in his puppyhood! She gives lots of tips to prevent behaviours, deal with them when they come, and go on with life eventually not needing to be so intensive. She is available 24/7 via text to answer our questions and she lets you guide your training with your priorities and her input. She was super helpful- I definitely recommend and I wish I got her help sooner :) Thanks Steph!

We had great sessions with Steph, our dog picked up quickly and we have lots of tasks/training homework to continue even after our sessions ended. Coming to our house and being flexible with our schedule was super convenient. I would highly recommend Steph to anyone!

The only regret I have is that I didn’t contact Steph sooner… My dog loves her so much!When we contacted Steph, our family was going through a difficult situation, and Steph was able to design our classes based on our needs. Since the first class, we have been able to see the results. She was kind, and patient.She is not a regular dog trainer who will only teach some tricks, she goes the extra mile to make sure all our goals are met. Steph taught us how to do activities that improved our daily living, including our dog.We love her! And we highly recommend her services to anyone!

Steph is the BEST! She was so good with teaching our entire family (3 kids included) how to best care for Lloyd. Steph was patient, kind and taught us the valuable skills we need to make sure that Lloyd is happy and so are we. Lloyd was quite nippy with our kids and Steph was able to teach us what actions to do to teach her what is expected of her. I also very much appreciate how Steph worked with Lloyd to greet people when they come to visit. I cannot highly recommend Steph enough!

Steph was absolutely amazing and took the time to explain our dog’s behaviour and what we can do to understand her emotions and needs to help in her training. We started out feeling like we had a dog that was not trainable, but after one session with Steph we realized that wasn’t the case. Through her dedication to helping us, we feel so much better about the dog we are raising. I can’t recommend Steph enough!

Steph came into our home after we adopted our sweet Wednesday at 4 months old. With a 4 year old busy boy at home Wednesday had no sense of boundaries with him and was very quick to jump and nip at him to play. After ONE visit we were give. The tools and strategies to successfully curve that behaviour with her positive reinforcement. We had 3 more visits from Steph that supported recall and calming which we have been have to adapt and the tools she gave us for many other Scenarios. Stephanie calm, attentive and and professionalism truly shows abd works magic with dogs. We also have the benefit of on going communication because we chose Steph so whenever we are In doubt or have a new old behaviour arise we are able to contact her via email or phone to support us.
