I am a frequent flyer of Michaels for craft supplies. This is my go-to location for whatever I need. I always find the staff very friendly and helpful. They are often understaffed, but that is not their fault. The staff who are there and available are always lovely and often recognize me as a return customer.I always feel welcomed in there and feel that it is a safe place for those in the LGBTQIA+ community. Really love that they had lots of pride items this year! Really love the pride buttons they had!I often order online to pickup large quantities of DMC thread, and my orders are always correct and processed quickly!

Prices have increased, just like everywhere else, but it feels like a huge jump from before. There weren't any sales happening (there was a buy one, get one 50% off), but I remember Michael's having regular sales as well as a 40% coupon. They still had a coupon, but it is now 30%. The store was practically empty, with only a few staff members who were friendly and courteous. Many hooks and sections were missing or low on stock. The store was clean and tidy so it wasn't a bad experience, just not like how it used to be. The prices still shocked me as many items increased by up to +25% and yet the company made record profits during COVID. I find it a little unethical because they have almost no competition here in Canada for crafting supplies (no Hobby Lobby for example), yet they keep increasing prices or removing items from being able to use a coupon. Again, not a terrible visit, just disappointing.

Good store for all things crafting and the odd hobby item. Stock this time around was fairly low however but that's likely due to their sale promotion. Staff was friendly and helpful.

I tried to do a return this morning and was treated poorly by a cashier named Andrea. She was condescending and laughed at my throughout the transaction. She was clearly upset I was returning an open package. If you can’t do the return that’s fine, but don’t treat the customer like they are stupid? She did the return but was rude the entire time. I was shocked at how unprofessional she was. I almost walked out. Probably won’t go back to the signal hill location again.

I love Michaels’. What else to say? You can find everything you need and much that you don’t…but you will…someday! Hahahah! Prices could be better on seasonal stuff, but they do come out with sales often enough….and I always get my discount. You also get another 10% if you say, “I’m old”!

I love popping into this Michaels in Westhill for seasonal items (Christmas and Halloween) and hobby accessories. They also carry a lot of photo frames and collectible framing products.This Michaels is very clean and well-stocked. The aisles are open and the store is well-lit. I love perusing the other aisles when I come for something specific. I always find it exciting to see items I never thought were made and sold.Always remember to check out the 40% off coupon that is available online!

Took a poster in for custom framing and the staff were so patient and helpful while I made a decision. They brought out so many options and took the time to get everything perfect. I’m very pleased with how it turned out. The timeline ended up taking a week longer than they initially estimated.

I'm done with Michaels and their stupid promotional offers that force you to have an account with them to get their deals. I'm standing in the store, the teller is waiving a 30% promo offer at me but I have to sign up. The she says, 'you get a coupon every day!!!!' Since when do I want an email everyday from a store I walk into occasionally???? Or who scoffs at those of us who don't want to play the game to get 30% off. It's a flyer right there at the teller but they won't give it to you. So what, I go home take a picture of it on my phone and go back to the store. This is ridiculous........goodbye.

I was so annoyed and frustrated. I was shopping for yarn online and literally everything I wanted was either not sold at my location or out of stock! This is not the first time I have had this experience. I find Michael’s a complete waste of my time!! Were it not for the gift card I got for Christmas I would be shopping elsewhere. Will request a gift card for anywhere else but Michael’s in the future since I stopped shopping Michael’s a long time ago for this exact reason!!
