Pioneer Brand Honey

Amazing place for local honey. And pricing is good. Very informative and learned a lot on difference of honey and how bee colony works. I can't remember the gentleman's name who helped us, but he's very passionate and knowledgeable on all bees and honey related. I came in for honey, and walked out with better understanding and appreciation for bees and their dynamics. Definitely recommend and will be back for more honey needs. Definitely worth coming and supporting locals

We met the owner of the farm, he is very friendly and knowledgeable. We drive all the way from Toronto and it was worth the drive. Excellent quality products. My kids love it! I will be back.

Great honey buying family farm. And historical value to, being that Andre is a descendent of Sourial, from the Don Valley Area. Lets try to keep people steeped in history alive.

Cool little shop but the lady behind the counter was a miserable bag. Might’ve just been having a bad day. Glad I didn’t leave any of my money there. Not sure if the honey business is any good but the owner is real unpleasant.wouldn’t accept any form of payment aside from cash. Guess they don’t want to play their taxes….* she writes I had a hissy fit …. I offered to pay her $10 more to cover the taxes her business would incur and she said no. I then left calmly.

We bought this ho ahi Ming cream from a farmers market. Upon looking up the ingredients I notice there is nothing in there to bind the honey with the oils. I ask that questions when I called and was told that there is another company that makes it for them. I reply by saying it has their name on the label and why is it that special. Everyone knows honey and oils don’t mix. Need to use some type of emulsifier. I was told then that the owner will get back to me but never heard from anyoneThis was pre COVID. Pass by the farmers market again and look at the cream againNo change. Wonder why they promote and sell something that has not listed the ingredients 100%Buyers be aware

Had an amazing experience here! We were just driving around the area on the weekend when we spotted a sign for fresh honey and followed it. They are super friendly, and sell a large variety of natural products. Purchased a beeswax based muscle relaxant myself and about 4kg of different types of honey and am 100% satisfied with everything!

We’ve been getting our honey from pioneer for years. It’s close enough to the city that they are accessible. The owner is so knowledgeable and helpful. We did honey from pioneer as our wedding favours in 2018 and people are still talking about how good it was!

Our family practically drinks honey and are so glad we found Pioneer! Pricing for bulk honey can’t be beat. We usually get the largest size (6 kg) of pure raw wildflower honey and at $69 it’s the best value around!The drive up to the farm is an experience in itself, it’s a beautiful and scenic drive.When we visited this past weekend, we called the shop as we were running a little behind and were worried it would be closed by the time we arrived. We called in and Andre was so sweet, and said he would be onsite for quite some time after closing and would be happy to accommodate.Couldn’t recommend Pioneer more!
