I was driving home when I saw Jon and his crew cutting down trees and shrubs in my neighbourhood. I stopped and asked if they could cut down a couple of tree stumps in my yard at their convenience since I do not have a saw. Jon looked at the stumps and said it wasn’t a problem to cut them down. He did it at no charge. I was pleasantly surprised and it shows his great character. I highly recommend Oakstead Tree & Property Care Inc. Jon & his crew Rock.

Oakstead recently pruned, sprayed and taped three fruit trees for me. They did an excellent job. I have used them for various trimming and pruning jobs for the past three years and have always been pleased with the work they do. I highly recommend them.

Jon and his team did a wonderful job pruning and taking down trees on my Saanich property. I was a bit worried that the front cherry tree would look odd pruned back but Oakstead did a wonderful job of working with the shape of the tree and making it look natural.My yard was immaculate when I got home from work, not a single branch or leaf was left where trees were taken down.Jon was very personable and responsive in his communication with me. I really felt that he listened to my needs and provided services that exceed my expectations. Fantastic family company. We use them every year to maintain our trees and yard. They are extremely knowledgeable! They are very accommodating, even remembered that we have 3 little ones and worked around our schedule. Highly recommend!!

I had them trim and prune several shrubs, they were on time and very professional while on the job. The office kept me well informed of what I could expect from the crew and they excelled.

We had Oakstead perform two different jobs on our property. Rick and Jon were the arborist who were extremely professional and skilled. They are serious about professional standards and have the skills, certifications, and experience to meet high standards. Communication with their arborist and dealing with invoices and payments is efficiently managed through their office. They are quick to respond to any inquiry. They are also familiar with local bylaws for each municipality and so if you want things done properly and fairly this is the company for you. I also found their quotes reasonable and competitive. They don't work for free so don't think you can get free consults/assessments. They will give you quotes but they will demand 50% payment up front. Fair is fair. Highly recommend them.

My husband was very impressed by Jon's knowledge regarding the tress on our property. My son was also very happy with how Jon walked through the property a 2nd time with him to make sure he was correct in his planning of tree removal and trimming. Yours was a referral from a customer your company had . I called and a friendly voice answered and next the Arborist Jon was coming to assess.It was prompt and after a examination of the property we decided on what needed to be done . Jon gave his advise and we agreed on price and on the day the crew arrived early. They worked well together as a team and were very obliging to bits of cuts that we see that bothered us and when all was done the property was clean and the atmosphere around changed.Good people to work with . I totally recommend.

I am a senior living in a condo who found a small tree and a bush on my balcony had died and needed removal. Most tree removal services appear to be geared to removal of massive trees and I felt lucky to find Oakstead who provide gardening services as well. Their friendly service was prompt, efficient, and included clean up and disposal. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing a similar service. Diane T.
