went around noon 12/1 to do christmas shopping, store was closed with no lights on or any signage saying they were closed. call ahead to make sure they’re open?

I'm a heavy metal fan and I don't really venture into other sections of the store. The selection for metal is alright. Not bad but not amazing. They do have some great prices on new cd's. By great I mean the $7 to $8 range. Which could put the prices cheaper than The Beat Goes On if they had those particular albums in stock. Vinyl selection is ok but the prices are too high. Only time I purchased records here was on boxing day when they were on sale. I gave three stars because the price for records is high compared with competitors in the area... or even Amazon for that matter.

If i could give them zero stars i would. Twice today ive wasted my time and gas coming to the stone rd location to find the doors closed and locked even after i called and was told by the guy over the phone before i came back the second time that they were open till 7pm. Maybe hire at least one resposible adult to run the store and make sure it stays open the hours its suppose to be open

Sunrise is one of the last, great, record" store chains. They have a large selection of music

We came in for lunch after a morning of shopping. the food was good. But service lacked luster.... we were only a table of 2 but seemed to get over looked ... often. It was a bit frustrating when we could always see the staffed grouped together... also, there were many tables available and we got seated right by the door... it was freezing! Usually I ask if we can get moved to a booth etc. But it was hard to get anyones attention (ps. Why do restaurants do this anyways? No one wants to be blasted with cold air every 2 min when the door opens) I will go back but but I will definitely asked to be seated away from the door! In such a large place, they should be able to accommodate that.

Employee with blonde hair was so rude to me that I didn’t even bother staying. When I tried asking a question she sounded so bothered that I was even in the store

Selection was lacking, the only staff member there was extremely rude and unhelpful. She wouldn't look up anything or show me where I could find what I was looking for. The store wasn't busy and she still refused to take the time of day to help costumers. I also heard her lack of help for the customer before me. I found 2 items I was looking for on my own. The prices and my lack of time to go elsewhere were the only reason I bought them granted I think next time I'll just skip Sunrise altogether. I get the stress of holiday shoppers, I've done retail, that wasn't what she was, she was just rude & impatient. There was 2 customers in the store.

I’ve had 2 separate occasions of poor customer service. I’ve shopped here regularly the past few years, but I will no longer be attending this location. My girlfriend had ordered me a vinyl for my birthday in May. The lady said that it would take 2-3 weeks before the record came in. Far enough, my girlfriend was set on giving me the record just before my birthday. After the 2 weeks had ended, we had to wait another FIVE MONTHS until they gave us a call. We went in the next week to pick it up, and for some reason they had put my record in the regular vinyl selection. As you can imagine, my girlfriend and I were extremely upset, but nevertheless I continued to shop there. It wasn’t until today I realized I would no longer be shopping here. I was looking at a box set vinyl with a tag reading “ Buy One Get One Free”. The cashier went to ask her manager about the deal. But as she walks back,she rips off the sticker, and says they are not doing that promotion anymore. The cashier says that the record is 30% off, which would be understandable. But even after that, the record was full price. As I stood very confused, I asked, “ Do you not honour the tag” and she replied “no, not really”. I left the record and just bought one with what I had with a gift card. If you are looking for a record store, there are much better ones around the city.

Walled in and promptly walked out after the incredibly rude treatment upon walking in. No hello, no nothing, got yelled at to sanitize my hands, which I was doing at the time and then my 9 year old who hadn't heard her got the both of you!" Shouted across the store. She turned around to do it but after being basically put on blast publicly the second we set foot in there were embarrassing. We left. I understand protocols and we abide
