FAMILYS BEWARE!!! THIS IS NOT A FAMILY CAMPGROUND!!!Just got back from a week long vacation with my mother and 2 children (11,7). The campground was well maintained and the veiws and sunsets were amazing. Unfortunally Norma (the owner) was a very mean and harsh woman, who thinks she is always in the right. We will never return and did not feel welcomed at all.If you have children, this is not the place for you!!

If you are looking for quiet you have found your place. Fishing, biking, walking,hiking...etc all close by...we love each and every day/night spent up in Stokes Bay and Paul and Norma have always been so welcoming and helpful. Can't wait to return

Called to inquire about the campground and was immediately interrogated by a representative that made me regret ever calling. Got the sense that she was not happy to be answering the phone and would have preferred to be left alone instead of being bothered by a new customer. From the unfriendly greeting, I was surprised that they were interested in accommodating customers.

Great trailer park and cottage rental in Stokes Bay. The owners are friendly and have spent a lot of time building up the campground over the past years. Prices are reasonable and you will need to book early in order to get your place for the year. Make sure to bring everything you need for the cottage since most things are not provided. There are showers onsite as well which are actually decent.

If you like to be abused, belittled, or called a liar, go here!I have rented cottages for years, so I know the questions to ask and how to behave. Norma was lovely on the phone but in person she was agressive and always right. We were told we could use the picnic area if there were no events going on so 3 adults and 4 children went there to do a scavenger hunt, no-one else was anywhere near us. The children were running in and out of the area and one adult started to move a picnic table so no-one would be hurt and the storm arrived! Norma yelled at everyone and asked where these 4 children had come from, implying that I had not told her I was coming with my 2 grandchildren. When I approached her to talk about it, she said she had not yelled and I hadn't registered the children(hadn't mentioned that before) and that she had told us the picnic area was a quiet only area(she hadn't). So why would events be held there! The children were very upset even though Norma said the children weren't there. Really lady get your stories straight and admit when you are wrong! DON'T GO THERE EVER!!!

Very nice place, private, quiet, relaxing. We were camping for few nights the only things we struggled was not having a spot or station to wash dishes and nowhere to hang strings for wet towels or a Hammack in our campground. Their laundry room and bathrooms are awesome.

A Beautiful quiet serene spot on Lake Huron. Owners were friendly and always there to assist you with anything you need! Our 3 bedroom cabin was very comfortable, open concept kitchen/dining room. Large windows all around with breathtaking views of the water and sunset! This particular cabin had limited privacy but it never bothered us considering the location of our cabin on the waterfront and how friendly the other cottagers/RV owners were! Our son was out fishing every day and caught an abundance of perch and bass. It really is such a great spot for anyone who can appreciate nature such as bald eagle, herons, turtles, practically right on your doorstep! We really appreciated having this special gem and will cherish the memories!

My husband and I had a wonderful week at Heron Point. The campsite was clean and so very quiet. The brand new washrooms were clean and up to date with fantastic showers. We met some delightful seasonal campers and everyone was friendly and welcoming The campgrounds were centrally located and everyone was knowledgeable and helped us to figure out the best places for sight-seeing. The campsite has a laundry facility that came in handy. We had a trailer and the site we had was a perfect pull through. The hosts at the campsite, Paul and Norma were friendly and fantastic and we’re constantly working to keep the campsite comfortable. The campsite is right on the water with access to fishing and canoeing or kayaking. The sunsets are amazing and so peaceful. I can’t say enough about this campsite and the owners’ dedication to ensuring that it remains a peaceful and memorable experience. Thank you Paul and Norma for a wonderful vacation.
