Grand Valley Golf & Country Club

Worst experience I have ever had at a golf tournament. The staff barely acknowledged us when we arrived and once they did it was minimal at best. The food was inedible, and I threw my entire meal in the garbage. The room we rented was not comfortable to sit in for a social and the experience overall was disappointing.

Good place to golf and not greedy with the fees. Will definitely play here again. The fairways on the back nine were a bit dried out need more water on them.

I have been golfing at this establishment for 17 years. Alot of discussion within the regulars that they are not liking the changes to the course or the pro shop/restaurant. Coming from somebody who has been golfing here for some time now these are the changes this course needs! I have never seen every single green in outstanding condition and same goes for the fairways! They are strategically removing trees and creating difficulty in a rather easy course and it's very exciting to see! I see them repairing tee boxes and really making the course beautiful! As for the restaurant changes, I personally love the new look and how bright it is on the inside now!! They seem to have a trial menu with limited items at the moment but everything I have had is amazing so far! Truly exciting to see what they will do next and I have to say from what it seems like the future of grand valley is in a great hands!

We had our wedding here this past weekend and it was absolutely amazing!! It all went so smoothly. The venue was clean, arranged, service was great, food was AMAZING!! Lots of comments from our guests on how delicious the food was! We also had our rehearsal dinner here (I planned that last minute) and Jimmy & Scott were very accommodating!! They had set up a private room for us - I was expecting a table, table cloths and plates but they went above & beyond and decorated it for us !! This made me tear up! I'm so happy they were a big part of our special day! They also took very good care of our set up team (day of coordinators) by arranging lunch for them & offering staff to help out with any set up! I can not recommend this place enough. One of the best choices I have ever made was having our wedding at Grand Valley!

Without question, the absolute worst course I have ever played. Couldn't tell fairways from 1st cut, all greens diseased, fairways diseased and bald, tee boxes all dirt/little grass, rough hadnt been cut, hard to find balls so many dandelions, cart paths full of potholes, ball washers broken, Not even a course for hackers. I wouldn't play there if there was $10. Was so disgusted how a course could be in such bad shape and charge the rate they do. Never, ever again. Want my $ back!

Honestly wish I could give this a higher score. The staff, organization and overall administration was good.Unfortunately, the course is in really really rough shape. I don't think i have ever played a course with so much dead grass and dirt. Tee boxes, fairways, greens and even practice areas showed significant degradation. Gounds were extremely hard where I almost broke a few tees trying to push it into the ground. Rocks on the tee box also put some good wear on my driver.The kitchen staff got hit by sickness (unsure if it was covid), so all they had to offer were pre-made sandwiches.Again, staff was friendly and respectful. However the grounds were so dead, this course is unplayable. With a bit of maintenance and care would make a world of difference.

Well, it is half in the open and half in the woods. Fun to play. Its good value but the course needs work in several areas. I think it is 'improvements in progress' so time will tell.

Course is fine, most staff are good.Management is horrible. How can they try to charge you 65.00 for a round of twilight golf with a cart. Especially when there web site says 27 for green fees and 15 to 18 for cart. Oh thats right if you want a cart you have to pay for 2 people $30 even if your one person. There food has diminished in size worse than mc Donald. A bacon egg sandwich use to be 2 full slices of bread with all the fixings. Now its the size of a a tim hortons lid. If you ask for extra bacon. That bacon is $6. And your lucky if its 2 slices.Honestly go somewhere else if you can. If not bring your own food in a cooler. It'll save you a lot of money.P.s. there may be a false advertising claim against this course over pricing

I attended a wedding here recently. Great food. Wonderful service. Also I had my 4 year old with me and we had to go outside periodically to let him run around to get some energy out. The staff was friendly with him and had no issues with us running around outside. Also the members playing golf were friendly and welcoming.

I was Married here two weeks ago, and Overall we were very pleased with the result on the day. Our Day of coordinator Jimmy went above and beyond for us in every way, and was very accommodating when we asked for mobility assistance for elderly grandparents or the moving of decor from outside to inside! The only reason that we decided to give 4 stars instead of 5 was due to the bar staff not always being present during the open bar on the night of the wedding, and the inconsistencies with communication with the new owner for meetings during the transition as well as the tasting which was confirmed for 6 people, and we were seated and plated for 4.Very reasonably priced, and a lovely spot with the beautiful old barn foundation to give character to the space. I am very glad that we chose this location for our big day!
