The customer service here is amazing! There was a employee working May 21st-22nd who was super friendly and helpful.When returning the car I had lost one my apple air pods down the seat and I rang through to see if they were able to get it as we couldn’t reach it. The guy was able to reach it and return it to us!Thanks so much, will be returning to Avis again!

I just want to thank the staff at the Avis center in the Cascade Plaza in Banff, especially Tim. I had rented a car at the Calgary airport and was planning to be driving in and around the Banff area. The car developed a sound in the breaking system that I was not comfortable with since we would be driving several hours north to Jasper where I knew services would be extremely limited. I talked to Tim who immediately arranged for a comparable vehicle to be exchanged, took care of all the paperwork transferring the vehicle and gave me the assurance there would be no issues... and that is is exactly what happened. I had a new car, cleaned and ready for me and our journey within 30 minutes and no hassles returning the car to the Calgary airport several days later. Tim's professionalism, assurance and just great character made this potentially stressful situation an awesome experience. Thank you Tim!

I was stay there for 4 days and I have been there 4 times on every morning.I rent a car from avis airport, and I just found out the engine light was on when I drove the car to banff, plus I can heard noise on driver side, so I quick stop by Saturday morning to have them check it out. Their manager just turned the light off for me which is ok to me however, it showed up again once I drove to the different lake. I went back to their office on Sunday" morning

The Avis employees were great and our rental experience was easy. My only complaint is the garage for drop-off gets extremely backed up and crowded since it’s a shared public garage. We had to wait 20 mins just to get into the garage.

CLOSED ALMOST 1 HOUR EARLY, DIDN’T PROVIDE ANY RECEIPT (EVEN THOUGH ONE WAS REQUESTED) AND WAS OVERCHARGED FOR 2 DAYSRented an Avis vehicle for our honeymoon trip at the Calgary Airport for drop off at this Banff location before boarding the Rocky Mountaineer train in Banff at 7:00AM on Sunday morning. Location was scheduled to close at 4:00PM Saturday and my husband & I dropped off the car just after 3PM that day (Saturday). After we parked the car in the parkade and wrote down our fuel level, kms and parking space # - as instructed on the sign, we ran into the only Avis agent working who had just pulled down the security gate over the counter closing almost 1 hour early. He had multiple other car keys in his hand and told us and the older couple behind us to just hand him the keys and that he was going to check in all the cars and that was all we needed to do. As I work in the rental car insurance industry, I insisted he give me a final receipt/closed rental agreement which he repeatedly declined to provide. So I wrote down my email address on a piece of paper and requested he email it to me once the vehicle was checked in, which he did not do. No email was received until 2 days later when I got an automated email from Avis saying my rental receipt was ready for download online and the email showed the final price of OVER $200 more than the estimate I was originally given. After several attempts at trying to download the .pdf file from the Avis website (where it kept saying the file was corrupted) I was finally able to download it and determined the reason for the extra charge was it appeared that the Avis agent did not check in our vehicle until Monday at 8:30AM which was showing as our actual return date on the receipt/closed rental agreement, so we were therefore overcharged for 2 extra days (at a much higher daily rate) while it was just sitting in the Avis Banff parking garage. It was impossible for us to have the car on those days as we were onboard the train. Spent over a half hour on the phone (mostly on hold) with Avis Customer Service to have this rectified. Was told I should be getting a refund within 10 business days - we will see. This was my first time ever renting from Avis and I would not rent from them again - at least not at this Banff location.

I would like to contact the company based in Banff directly as they are the only ones that can answer my questions regarding renting a vehicle in a national park.So if you read this Avis Banff. This is an opportunity to reach out and show your a safety point of difference to your competitors in your region.I need a email contact as im over seas.Thank you.Do you meet statutory requirements re snow tyres and supply of chains after the 1st of November as stated by Transport Canada or are you exempt from those mandatory requirements.Thank you Monte and AishaOver here in Australia the car hire rental is highly regulated with full insurances.Consequently its natural given the Banff Tourism and Visitor guidance directing us to Transport Canada making us aware of the mandatory snow tyre requirements. We have also contacted The Canadian Embassy to facilitate what should be a reliable , informed transaction due to the climatic considerations.Please confirm that your vehicles ( in our case a SUV ) for clearance ( height of undercarriage) are available and come with full comprehensive insurance that covers the entire rental vehicle itself.We understand there is a damage/ excess / waiver premium to be paid in the event of a claim .We have never had an accident in 50 years of driving. No fines. No infringement . No claims.We will arrange for a direct call through our travel agent to you ( they have offered )whom is the largest travel agency in Australia. They have offered this because their ( Flight Centre's facilitators ) has reported that these simple relevant pertinent inquiries are not recieving responces by major providers suppliers in the last two weeks , alarming all. So they have offered to call you directly.We are simply attempting to obtain a safe, compliant, fully functioning/ operational SUV during our stay, and we welcome the assistance of your local tourism organisations, accomodation providers and yourselves in obtaining that outcome.Kind regardsLynn

We rented a car here in the beginning of May and the worker that was at the counter had a really bad attitude. He told us there were no cars available when it clearly was on the internet. I showed him the availability on the webpage and he replied that didn't mean they had cars available. I then booked the car in the web page in front of him and got my booking confirmation, I showed him and he didn't even give me an explanation about it or apologize. Workers like that destroy businesses and spoil the work oh the whole team. I can't remember his name but he was a skinny tall guy about 6,1 feet with dark hair. Besides all that he would talk to me really quickly to try to make me not understand him as he realized I am not native English speaker.From the whole Banff experience, this guy was the worst thing.

Very disappointed with this car rental place. Did the whole digital check to save time at pick up(not the case) still waited in big line, then they tried to charge me double for the rental saying there was a glitch in system when I originally booked it, got that sorted out( thank goodness I had proof). I was told at counter there would be a $500 deposit charged to card, come to find out when I went to pay for my room they actually charged $1269 to my card, and It wasn’t the same car I had originally booked online. The company was NO help at all and didn’t care about any of these inconveniences and did absolutely nothing to rectify any of the situations

HelloJust communicated with locals whom fit their snow tyres in October and recommended that we do not hire vehicles that do not.Contacted Transport Canada and they replied that from the 1st of November vehicles operating within the national park system must meet statutory requirements.My question is simply do you supply vehicles that meet those requirements as stated.

This company only knows how to spout off policy" but can't listen to common sense. They also add on all kinds of fees after the fact and no one can explain why the charges on the electronic receipt don't match anything from your initial agreement. It's not just this location. It's the entire company of employees who have no knowledge and authority."
