I wasn't going to bother with a review, but after being treated as I have been by who I can only assume is the owner of this school, via fb msgs ... I felt it important to tell others my experience.I had volunteered via the fb page to have a tattoo started by a student a few weeks back . It was to be a two part session. Outline first and then completed in a second session . The outline was in an unfinished rough state when I had left and was tp be completed on the 21st of October.Well the time for completion came, and they msg me two days before( on wed) to confirm that I would be there Friday.. and I promptly responded within minutes to their msg that I would be.I live over 6 hrs away from grand prairie, and hotel accommodations and a day trip the day before were / are needed in order to be on time for my appointment Friday at 9am.I left the morning of Thursday Oct 20th for my appointment, I was an hour out when I was contacted again by the school to say my appointment/ tattoo is canceled and would be unfinished. Due to the artist having the flu . After I expressed my concern for the fact the tattoo is unfinished, the school basically said I was SOL, read their terms, that unforseen circumstances could occur preventing completion of a tatttoo, which i misunderstood to mean completted that day " not that i would end up with a large unfinished tattoo .... they then stated i would have to reach out to the artist at their new place of employment. The day of the first session

Don't bother volunteering as they don't finish their work and if you question them, instantly you are aggressive and they try to ban you. Most unprofessional setup and AHS has been contacted for the lack of sanitation and clean environment

Very professional school. The owner does her utmost to teach history and quality tattooing. Highly recommend!

As a professional tattoo artist with 15+ years under my belt, on the surface this seems like a good idea. However, the rich history and traditions are being made a mockery. This is supposed to be sacred knowledge handed down mentor to apprentice. And our industry is saturated 300% over the past 10 years. This is opening the flood gates for even MORE shops opening up. In this industry we get paid a percentage of what comes in. Not by the hour like a wage. At times its hard enough to make a living. More artists means less steady incomes.
