Nicole Pidherny equals one RUDE, fake, full of lies hairdresser. I would not trust her or her online store. I did not receive a refund on products that I purchased that she had promised. Take a good look at the reviews and BEWARE. She also hides honest one star reviews on her website Pomme Salon. And by word of mouth she’s very messy and rough during hair services.

I visited during the pandemic and had a great experience - went back two weeks ago and had the opposite experience. Brought in a reference picture and was, i think, totally clear about what I wanted. The stylist completely, 100%, disregarded my request and i walked out with my hair two inches shorter that i asked (ear length, not chin length, which is a significant difference; gave me baby bangs without asking whether my fringe length needed to change - it didn't, and actually cut them crooked!!) and the worst part? When I contacted the salon the next day about my experience, i had to wait two weeks to talk to the owner. They made an appointment for me to go in and, the morning of, called you push the appointment from noon to 12:30pm. Well ok - and can you clarify that I am not coming in for a cut, but a conversation? Yes, confins the voice at the other yet. That apparently wasn't communicated to the owner, who was taken aback when - after keeping my waiting 15 minutes - she started off the conversation not by acknowledging my experience and apologizing for the horrible experience, but by cheerily asking me what kind of cut i wanted. What I wanted, for my $114 haircut, was to walk out of the salon feeling good about my decision. Instead, i felt like a freak.I get that a bad haircut isn't the end of the world, but this experience was mismanaged from start to finish.

I went to see Kayleigh in late August to get my hair coloured. I wanted to go back to my natural colour which is a light neutral/golden brown. Before the appt., I had done their online ‘Make a Booking’ application. It requested what kind of service I wanted, my current & past hair history, etc. I even uploaded a pic of my current hair and my inspiration pic. I felt super confident & excited going into this. Kayleigh also specializes in ‘bronde’ so I felt I was in good hands. Ultimately, Kayleigh was very lovely and personable. However, I didn’t realize it at the time but she gave me a very poor hair consult before the service. I’m not sure how this miscommunication happened as I would have assumed she saw my application I submitted prior. When she saw my inspo pic and looked at my current hair in the salon - it was like she was seeing & hearing it for the first time - kind of strange. Why did I bother submitting an application if the stylist is not going to see it? It should be the stylists job to ensure you are on the same page - NOT the clients. Long story short - she went way too dark. I went home extremely disappointed & called to get it fixed asap.I came in 4 days later to see Nicole, the salon owner. Together we spent 15 minutes discussing my hair and what went wrong. It was refreshingly collaborative. At the time, I was impressed & felt she ensured that we were on the same page & had a solid plan on how to fix it. It was a great consult. Feedback-wise, having a good hair consult before a service should be a standard business practice from the START for EVERY service - NOT something that’s required to make a customer happy after feeling unhappy with their initial service. I can’t state that strongly enough. There was not enough time that day to fix it properly so we rescheduled for 3 weeks later. I came in and Nicole was absent. I waited for about 20 minutes before the receptionist came and said that Nicole forgot about the appt. and was in Penticton for the day. I know stylists don’t like when their clients are late/no-shows so maybe they should offer that same respect to their clients. What a waste of time, money & gas to get there. I rescheduled once again to get it fixed 2 days later. The morning of the appt. I found an email from Nicole. It said to simply just let the colour naturally fade & that she was afraid of not being able to meet my needs. I get that some clients have unrealistically high expectations but I truly don’t feel like I was being uncollaborative or inflexible about my hair. I just wanted a plan on how to achieve a colour closer to my natural hair colour. I was shocked that the salon would not own up to their mistake and instead pin it on the client to justify their actions. The salon made me feel insignificant & burdensome, not to mention my time, money & energy being disrespected as I was dragged along for a month waiting patiently to get my hair fixed. The value for your money is simply not worth it & the quality is debatable. She offered me a refund for the colour portion of the service (which took a week and a half incl. one reminder email), which I took but beyond that and at the end of this whole month-long process - I wanted absolutely nothing to do with this salon anymore. They call themselves a ‘concept’ salon but if you don’t have the quality, integrity & ownership of your craft as the backbone of your salon then the ‘concept’ & ‘branding’ means nothing. They are a salon that looks good online but doesn’t add up in real life. The refund was appreciated but beyond that - not much. I wish I was mad but honestly, I am just completely deflated, disappointed & at a loss. I had such high hopes - I’ve heard & seen so many great things IRL & on social. Mistakes happen but I can’t respect a salon that treats its clients the way that I was. It sucks to say, but the search for a quality salon in Kelowna continues.

The best experience with Ménoukia! I originally saw her for two toning treatments after a completely botched dye job (not by her or the salon) and then finally saw her for a color session/correction and the results were incredible! She listened to exactly what I wanted and I couldn’t be happier with how it all turned out. She recommended some great products to take home and taught me a lot about the importance of home care too. Not to mention she is literally the most kind human being I’ve ever met, it was such a pleasure to be in her chair. Cannot wait to go back!

Rebecca aka The Top Knot took my post partum hair from flat to fabulous! A cut and colour that has my hair looking and feeling top notch. Honestly the most thoughtful and attentive service I've received in a long time. Through open and honest conversation we've hair goals that work for both my busy lifestyle (maximum style/minimum effort) and hair health. Officially our family stylist and all around gem of a human being ✨️

Charging $20-40 for bang trim when they already charged you $130 for a haircut is pretty ridiculous! Any other “high end” hair salon provides free bang trims. Additionally they ask you to upload photos of your current hair length, inspiration photos and when you get there they have no idea what you are going there for and don’t even review the infuriation they requested. Why waste time uploading this required info if you’re not going to use it?I do think the hair stylist did a nice job with the cut, but for what they charge details in their service fall short and don’t reflect the high end and modern vibe they are trying to achieve.

Nicole…RUDE, incompetent, over priced, rough!! I messaged her before Christmas saying how after spending $1000. in color and trims with 3 products only…I wasn’t happy. No reply, I explained it to the receptionist before my (last) appointment and she said they would get back to me by the days end. They didn’t. I showed up for my (very last ever) appointment only to have Nicole talk down to me, going as far as saying I wanted this appointment for free, which I didn’t! I wanted my hair done the way I requested and wasn’t expecting free. She was so loud that other clients were looking over at this scene she was creating and it was humiliating and bullying. I told her to look at all the brassy spots that were in my hair and she replied that hair changes and it won’t be the same as it was 2 years ago-10 years ago so the effects will be different. This is such bull as my other hairdresser has left me with great highlights before I moved up to Kelowna. Maybe less time on Instagram and get out of the customer service industry because if you’re not Jillian Harris…you’re nobody to her.

Everyone at this salon was super nice and welcoming so no complaints about the service! However, I was quite disappointed with the result I ended up in. It was by no means a cheap hair treatment when I went but I didn't seem to get what I asked for despite paying over $200. It was my first time asking to get a balayage and I showed a picture to Nicole to get it done. I was told that I could not get any lighter than orange and that I would have to go through a few sessions to get lighter. Feeling unsatisfied with this salon, I went to MC College where my friend is studying and paid $75. To my surprise, she did a much better job with achieving what I wanted to do with my hair in one session with zero damage. Overall, I just wanted to voice my disappointment with this service because I felt tricked. The price was just not worth what I got and I would not go again. I hope it does not happen to anyone else! (I attached before and after photos of my hair- I am currently blonde now)

I love this place, very talented hairstylists. Nicole is really knowledgeable and has done a great job recruiting and building her brand. I had my hair done twice by her and once with Steph. I am beyond happy everytime.

Have been to Pomme two times for a wash and blow dry service. Once with Makayla and once with Siara. Loved my hair both times and lasted a few days. My hair is usually very dry, frizzy and wildly curly so it is not an easy task. Definitely would recommend, and will return.
