Careers By Designed really helped me get started in my new career. My one-on-one session with one of their career coaches helped me identify areas in need of improvement for interviews, and how to better pitch my skills in that setting. After the coaching session, I walked away feeling more confident in my skills and myself and immediately noticed the results by landing a great new position. I would highly recommend Careers By Design for anyone looking for job/interview/resume advice.

I came to Careers by Design in order to gain some clarity in a time of shifting priorities in my work life. After spending more than a decade on one career track, I felt stuck and unable to move forward in any concrete direction. Linda was incredible in structuring our sessions so that I was able to make tangible progress each week. Working through the process helped me identify the need to reconnect with my intuition and gut instinct in guiding my next steps. We began each virtual session with a five minute guided meditation which I will now be doing before any major meeting! Having a supportive coach who could offer an objective perspective was extremely helpful. I am now able to confidently take the 'next best step' and feel optimistic about the track I'm on. I would strongly recommend for anyone who is struggling to gain clarity on their career path to sign up for Careers By Design with Linda :)

Linda was very supportive during my job search. I appreciate how she listened to all my concerns, talked me through my issues, & provided guidance. She helped me refine my interview answers and LinkedIn profile. As an introvert, I find networking challenging. But Linda taught me to change my perspective & approach to networking that helped me make connections more easily. When I was offered a job, Linda provided me with the tools and encouragement to negotiate salary and I was able to accomplish it.What I valued the most from our sessions is Linda guiding me through a period of self discovery. Through a series of personality tests and discussions, I learned my natural characteristics and strengths and how to use it to my advantage throughout my career. This helped me define my ultimate meaningful career goal. I enjoyed our discussions about education and professional development as it helped me planed my next career steps.I would highly recommend Linda as a career counsellor.One final note: What I did on my end to help me get the most out of my career counselling experience is to clearly define and communicate what I wanted to learn or accomplish in each session. Also researching the subject matter beforehand to be able to discuss and work through questions/concerns during sessions. Hope this review was helpful to others.

Working with Careers By Design helped me re-centre on my goals as a young professional at a time when I felt overwhelmed. My coach gave me the clarity, strength of mind and confidence to re-connect with myself and my passions. Today, I am in a positive mindset and ready to embrace new career opportunities. I had a great experience with Adam! After several months of unemployment I reached out and he was able to offer a couple pointers before I even booked/paid so I didn't feel pressured at all and felt comfortable booking the package I wanted (cover letter and resume). We met over zoom twice and he made very reasonable suggestions about how I might want to present myself and also helped me to narrow in a bit more on what I was looking for and what kind of positions I would be qualified for. Within a couple months of getting my resume and cover letter done, I got two interviews with good companies and accepted a job offer soon after for an amazing company. They must have loved my resume because I already felt like I had the job after 5 minutes of the interview! Totally worth it for me.

I had been out of work for a while and feeling lost and unmotivated in my job search. I did my research and immediately connected with the approach at Careers by Design. They seemed to have a bright and positive outlook. I made a call to them and was impressed by their professionalism and kindness for my situation. I'm very pleased with the coaching that I got as I feel it really improved my self-confidence and how I presented myself. I think this alone helped me get my next position and I'm very happy with my career path now. I strongly recommend Career's by design for those looking to update and upgrade their resume and cover letter.It was a pleasure working with Adam Winfield. He was extremely professional and did an amazing job writing a concise resume that highlighted my achievements. He was also kind enough to work around my schedule on short notice to ensure my resume would be completed in time.I applied to 3 job postings and got an interview for 2 of them. Coaching with Careers by Design, and specifically Lee, has been fantastic! Just what I needed when I needed it most. Before coaching I felt stuck, overwhelmed and lost. I had no idea how to facilitate a career change.Through coaching, Lee has helped me better understand my value and translate my knowledge, skills and abilities into generic terms to use in a new industry.
