We came today on Good Friday and the place was PACKED. Despite it being so busy, staff were really nice and seemed to have a handle on things. Obviously not their first rodeo.After an hour wait we finally got our fish and chips. We were honestly so excited. The hour surprisingly flew by as we took in the surrounding views. The atmosphere is so charming. It’s really nice how close they are to the water.Now the food was something special. The fish was fried to perfection and I normally prefer crispy potatoes, but I actually enjoyed these thick cut, soft and meaty chips. They go real good with vinegar. Just saying. A large fish and chips (2 piece and chips) comes out to 17 bucks which is an awesome deal considering the amount you get.Oh my gosh! I almost forgot we shared a sundae too. Really good. Peanut Pretzel is a slam dunk.I would love to come back in the summertime and eat some more of their delicious tasty fries whilst walking along the beach. Can’t wait until then!

Ordered a one piece fish and chips plate with a side of coleslaw. Absolutely delicious!The staff who work here are incredible and deserve so much praise. A very nice staff member opened the doors for us as we were leaving the building and she was so friendly and caring.Clean environment and very accessible for my seniors such as my grandparents who joined me.What a great experience - I highly suggest!

Old school diner serving fish and chips made in traditional way. Perfect crust and flaky fish. The Hammer fries was simple with house sauce and caramelised onions. The burger lacked flavour and felt quite bland. The seating area has great view of lake.

Had a wonderful time down memory lane with friends visiting from out of town. They use to live in the area and had not been back to Hutch’s on the Beach for almost 20 years. Outstanding service, food and atmosphere. Made our friends so happy to revisit a very happy piece of their past. You really can't go wrong with Hutch’s. It's a history landmark of Hamilton no matter the time of year, this place definitely has heart. Thank you all for the wonderful experience and memories.

Didn't expect much from this location but was surprised. It has ample parking space and the restaurant is right in front of the water. The dining room is quite large with indoor and outdoor seating. The cheeseburger, fries, poutine, and fish and chips were all great! Stop by here if you're in the area!

Went here today for lunch haven't been here in years, and It's still the same. The atmosphere was great, and the service was friendly. Great place to go for food or ice-cream with your family or on a date. Today I got the 2 piece Fish & Chips. The fish tasted great, and had nice crispy batter, and the fish was very tender. The fries were golden and the gravy went perfect with them. I'd definitely come here again it's in a great spot on the beach. I'd definitely recommend this establishment.

This place gets really busy and there was a thirty minute wait when we came here. Haven't heard of this place before but was looking for restaurants around the area when I was in Hamilton. It's pretty close to the highway so we decided to stop by. There was a big queue at the front and another queue inside for the ice cream which is separated (I believe). We got the standard fish and chips. The portion was fair for the price, the batter of the fish was pretty decent but the chips was what I really liked (it had that nice potato flavour to it).

Classic place with classic food. Feels like going back in time with the decor. Excellent beachfront location with beautiful outdoor areas and plenty of activities. The food is delicious and homemade. Fresh cut fries are 10/10 and have that classic fish n' chip style and taste. Thicker cut, but crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They hold up very well to vinegar and gravy. The fish batter is excellent and the portion sizes are large. They have a good variety of ice cream and desserts as well, with some unique flavours. Highly recommended for a snack, lunch. dinner, or a date!

Always a pleasure visiting this staple. It’s a lovely old diner, serving a vast menu, but please try their fish and chips! Their gravy and coleslaw too, wow. On peak times the wait can be quite long, but that’s a good sign pointing to the fact the food is BOMB. They also have an ice cream store in the back of the diner!

A Hamilton local recommended me to grab fish & chips from here. We got ourselves the fish & chips that comes with a piece of fish and some fresh cut chips. I liked that the fish & chips were not oily.However, the batter was sticking with the meat of the fish. Furthermore, they seemed to be stingy with the provisions of tartare sauce and the hot sauce, 2 very important condiments for me when I’m having fish & chips.Nevertheless, for the price and the service with a smile from the cashier along with the slightly vintage with a lake view ambience.It’s not a place that I will frequent for the fish & chips but it is a good pit stop for me to consider if I’m on the QEW.
