Humanities Theatre, Theatres at UWaterloo

It is an old theatre, that does still hold up pretty well. There are only a couple small bathrooms in the lobby that are gender neutral, but only can hold 2 people. So line ups occurred. It is extremely hot in the theatre with no air flow. The lobby was stifling when packed with people. There is no parking close by and you have to pay to park. Acoustics were good. It is definitely due for some upgrades.

Parking is far away. Not even water allowed in the theatre. Dark inside the building. Outdated. Ushers were not friendly. Worried more about their rules about refreshments then they were about seating people or etiquette. Like the refreshment police! It felt uncomfortable. If I went on my phone, not recording just in between performances they were staring at you.The seats were comfortable and the stage is big and well lit. The only reason it got a 3.Also pop was $1.50 much better than other venues charging $3. But you couldn't bring it with you so you had to dump it or guzzle it.

KW Glee production was fantastic entertainment in a great venue.

The theatre itself was nice and comfortable. Many issues to note here.My children had a dance performance at the theatre in late June. The cost was $30.00 per person, including children in the show. You'd think paperless would be discounted.There was nowhere to purchase food for two, three hour shows. Many people were questioning why there was nothing available.The only vending machine also, did not accept credit and showed an error message for cash.

At max capacity sits a bit over 700 people, they are pretty adamant about no food or drink and standing in the door ways if you're waiting for a better time to get to your seat. Seats are a little tight to squish past people. If you have to go to the washroom, go BEFORE you sit, getting in and out can be a little tough. Staff are as accommodating as they can and are very knowledgeable.

Nice venue well kept and managed ,perfect place for a dance competition.

Great theater in the middle of the University of Waterloo. The tech staff was awesome, friendly and very helpful. The only small problem is parking, which is paid, though not terribly expensive: you will likely have to make a short walk to the theater. There are also lots of places to eat in the nearby plaza, though you won't find much that is very fancy there; it's mostly food for students.
