Caledon Ski Club LTD

Lovely club with a great variety of runs and beautiful chalets.

One of the best things we did for our family was joining Caledon Ski Club. Through lessons/racing for our son we have made lifetime friends and had something took look forward to each winter. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, the off hill activities like the skating rink, yoga and snowshoe trails add a whole other list of options if you don't feel like skiing the entire day. Social events are always fun- several of them are planned by member volunteers which creates a strong sense of community. If you already love skiing or if you are looking for a great sport for the entire family to get you through the winter blahs- Caledon is a fantastic option- close to GTA cities and on the beautiful Niagara Escarpment. (Trial memberships are offered)

This place is beautiful. Great staff, awesome little ski Hill and super close to everything. If you're looking for a private ski club with a great vibe, that's easy to get to, and some fun runs, this is the place!

Great club, well maintained runs and facilities.

Great family place. Staff are very helpful. During the week, it is wonderful because there is no one there. Weekends are a lot more crowded so you have to go early to get decent parking(which is at a premium). Still, even when it is busy, you really don't wait too long to get up the hill. Lodges are cozy but again crowded on the weekend. Ski conditions, in terms of grooming and coverage, are superb.Too bad they only open Thursday to Sunday. Adding at least one more week day would be ideal. All in all a good investment for our family and something all of us can do together. Makes winter enjoyable. Best feature -a private club 45 minutes drive from Oakville. You can ski 1/2 the day and not lose the entire day travelling to Collingwood.

Management yells and berates food servers, and keeps tips meant for staff.

Learning to ski as an adult can be daunting, but this club is the best place to learn. The instructors are phenomenal! They are welcoming, kind and encouraging.

As an ex employee here I can honestly say this was one of my favourite places to work. Made lots of friends and enjoyed my time here. Pay was minimum wage, but the job had its perks. I’ve heard some of these perks have been taken away which is unfortunate. Hills are small, but well maintained. Club is close to the city so it is convenient for those people. Lines vary from hill to hill. Some members are complete snobs and treat the employees like garbage, some members would treat me with respect and greet me with a smile every time they saw me. Being a lifty wasn’t always easy, it could be hard on the body swinging chairs all day, shovelling snow and trying to maintain a loading and unloading ramp. It could get real cold standing outside for hours when it was a slow day, or when you had careless lead hands snowboarding and smoking dope instead relieving you for lunch or a washroom break. Management was great, I enjoyed working for Porter, Jaime and Pat.

Great family ski club within stone's throw to Toronto, Guelph etc. Definitely well managed as conditions are consistently excellent. If you want zero lift wait times and a family friendly atmosphere (no Yahoo's zooming around), excellent grooming and snow making. 2 large chalets for food and drinks.
