In fall 2021, I went to the Calgary airport with my husband and my 5 months old baby to go to Houston. At the USA customs area of the Calgary airport, when an officer checked our passports, he retained my husband’s passport and took us to the USA Customs and Border Protection - Preclearance Administration Office. We are Canadian citizens and hold Canadian passports, but we are originally from Iran. They concluded that we all, as a family, cannot enter the USA, despite having valid Canadian passports. After one year, I talked to the Hansen and Company Canada and USA immigration center. Mr. Gary Hansen accepted to become my lawyer, he was very communicative and extremely responsive. I had consulted with an attorney before meeting Gary and he simply told me that there was no solution to my problem and suggested applying for a visa to go to the USA.
