Pacific Sands Beach Resort

This is a favourite place for us to go. Wish it was not so expensive. 8 hour power outage on Thursday Apr 13, due to a MVA. There were regular texts, to help us stay informed as to the status of power. Appreciated list of available businesses that had power, and assistance give by front desk. We had pizza to cook. They gave us a pizza tray, plus extra aluminum foil for 2 others. They cooked well on BBQ. I then shared the pizza pan with a neighbour. Appreciated that hot water was constant, plus front desk area available for recharging devices. You all handled this long outage very well. I liked the blue bin system for getting refreshed supplies.

Second time staying with Pacific Sands, Online booking was simple clear, got a room deal to stay in May. Celebrating Grandmas Birthday with a three bedroom Oceanview. Option of using phone key cards. Front desk staff were very knowledgeable, helpful and kind. They engaged with the kids making the experience for everyone very enjoyable. We have some minor notes of improvement (coming from over 30 years combined hotel and restaurant service industry experience, including a chef) This does not take away from our 5 star rating at all.The friendly staff and the high quality of service, made this a really memorable vacation. Hats off to the housekeepers, the room cleanliness was excellent.

Private beach and rooms which are totally renovated. Actual surfers definitely stay here.Even when the power went out, the fireplace and hot water worked, plus they gave out candles.Plus the WiFi was decent.Definitely better than a 3 star.Lots of considerate items like brook, raincoat, extra towels without asking.

Stayed at Edgewater Suite #314 - only a partial view when sitting on the deck or in the room. Couldn't enjoy the view due to a solid wood wall. The hot tub temperature was inconsistent. There was no warm/hot water for the shower/tub for the master bedroom ensuite. The overall cleanliness was lacking - I would say average standards. This room needs some TLC/updating for sure...especially at $1,300/night in May. I expected a lot more in terms of a more modern room, an unobstructed view etc. Paid less per night at a much better room in Maui.

From where I can start. First time ever in Tofino, and luckily got the best located Resort on affordable price. Room was quite big, so clean and full kitchen. It was like a dream waking to the sound of waves and then breath taking views from their sunset pettinger point. We had best 3 days of our life there. We were so sad to leave from this heaven. For sure coming next year.

Beautiful all of it. Just don’t forget your room card there isn’t someone here over night to let you in if you lose it or forget it. Great vibes, cool food truck area and fire pits. It was snowing while we were visiting which made the experience even cooler. Snow on the beach it was just gorgeous. Update to my original review: the power went out due to it being snowy. The power was out for over 24 hours and the staff didn’t bring any candles or any options or any contact for what to do. There was no wifi or cell service and it was freezing cold. We were offered nothing in the means of hot water even to make a cup of tea whilst sitting in the dark freezing. There was nobody there to clear the snow on the steps which was super dangerous and our sauna reservation was cancelled without letting us know or any form of contact. Local restaurants all had generators but this hotel that isn’t cheap had nothing to offer and offered no form of refund for the stay.

We have stayed here on three separate occasions now. The staff are so friendly and courteous, the rooms are clean and comfortable. For New Years there was a terrific fireworks display we could see from our balcony although we walked down to the beach to enjoy it. There was even a little welcome back" gift waiting for us in our room. Great little touch!"

Very friendly and laid back staff. Amazing location and beach. Almost every thing you need in terms of service (no hot tubs or room service). Dog friendly suits were great but could use a tiny bit of maintenance in our suite (water damage in bathroom) but hardly worth mentioning. Overall an excellent choice!

One of the great location in Tofino, must say, being a return guest, we expect better experience over the time, but unfortunately the beach house wasn't with the great view and reception was disrespectful and not helpful to understand the situation of someone who drove for 6 hours to visit the best place of the town, MOST expensive and still you get unexpected hospitality, Rooms were not well cleaned and kitchen appliances not working fully, I sent all my friends to the place, will never recommended anyone to visit this spot. WASTE OF BIG MONEY to deal unexpected hospitality, BETTER BOOK OTHER BIG RESORTS.
