I've been doing art therapy for nearly a year now I'm glad I did it

I had the unique experience of seeing a behind the scenes perspective of Kind-heARTed Studios. I can honestly recommend this place to anyone!

Took my son to a birthday celebration at the Kind HeARTed Studio last weekend.He had fun ! He was very proud of what he painted, and now it is a permanent memory, hanging in his bedroom. Other kids at the party had a great time too - they absolutely embraced the place !There is ample space for a small get together in the studio. Parking wasn't an issue either.I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a small party or in door activity get together for kids.

I truly had a 5 Star experience at Kind Hearted Studios. The name “Kind Hearted” is a true reflection of the owner Vanessa!!! She made us all feel very welcome and comfortable the entire time. The space and atmosphere is great, along with Vanessa’s knowledge and expertise of art and her ability to teach the techniques. I have always dreaded painting and my abilities, but truly had a hard time leaving and was amazed by the work of art I came home with!

It started with a children’s art class and grew into a relationship that produced a profound self transformation for my both my business and personal life.Needless to say my kid was over the moon after attending a paint and pizza party. Parents cannot be thankful enough to run errands on the weekend and pick up a grinning and proud child with a new treasure in their hands.It was not long after that I came to the realization that art was missing from my own life. I too , needed to reconnect to the art world. So there was no hesitation from Vanessa when I enquired about offering a class to the important women in my life as a way to reconnect over the Christmas holidays. Family members bought the class for another women in our family. Hence, we have started a tradition making memories through art.My next revelation was to tackle something I always wanted to do; paint with a palette knife. And, with the best gift being the one you give yourself, I hosted a private party for my husband, daughter and I. We tore into some great Indian food with Vanessa and explored the mixing of colours, mediums, and our own individual talents.As a professionally trained Art Therapist and teacher, it was only natural for me to reach out to Kind-hearted Studio when COVID struck. The range of emotions from loss was taxing for me and my family. With her gentle nature and consistent encouraging outlook, it was easy to book private art therapy session with her. With her innate ability to unearth emotions and uncertainties we each suppress in daily living, she was able to demonstrate a viewpoint that can change how you approach fear, opportunities, and self doubt. The skills she teaches demonstrates that we can chose a different approach that allows each of us to understand our behaviour towards life’s challenges while moving forward from a place of trust and growth. Her eagerness to embrace online art classes for sketching and painting opened up great learning opportunities for my child and others when faced with anxiety and separation associated with homeschooling.It is not surprising that our relationship over the years has introduced me to other amazing women, as well as experts from her collaborative efforts with life coaches, acrylic pouring artists and yoga instructors.Rest assured once travel plans are no longer hampered, my fingers are crossed for her expertise in coordinating her overnight women’s retreat once again.No matter within what realm you connect with Kind-hearted Studio or Vanessa DeGroot, you will be forever thankful.

Went to a paint night with my fiancé and had an amazing time! Vanessa was great in guiding us through the painting and assisting with tips and tricks, but only if needed. Looking forward to the next one for sure
