Would never recommend this place. One of the highest priced vets around. They diagnosed my dog with diabetes after over 3000 dollars in tests and care, then after a year refused to sell me the insulin he required and they said he needed. They said they won’t sell it until I go through another 500 dollars worth of tests again with him. They put a 24hr monitor on him and was on him for 2 weeks, they never even bothered to look at the results. Horrible vet.

We have been coming to Healing Paws for over 8 years with all of our pets. We have recently moved to White Rock and still made the trek out to Port Moody. Our new rescue dog has extreme anxiety and needed care. We waited weeks for our appointment and this time we arrived 16min late only to be told we wouldn’t be seen. We understand we were late but we’re shocked that Dr Gill did not appreciate our dogs condition, even when he was vocalizing his anxiety in the waiting room, or that we were loyal customers that waited to see Healing Paws instead of a closer vet. We were ok to shorten today’s appointment as we already had a follow up appointment booked for next week, unfortunately this was not considered by your staff. Dr Gills refusal to help an anxious dog has cost you loyal customers and your reputation. Since the ownership change it is apparent that this clinic only cares about profits and not the animals well being.

We have been going to se Dr Maja ever since we got Riley almost 9 years ago. Her expertise in raw diet and holistic care is incredible. Her bedside manner is so soft and gentle. Perfect for the nervous pet. We absolutely love healing paws.

We are so grateful to have found Dr. Maja and the team at Healing Paws. They are attentive to my dogs needs and we never feel rushed asking questions or getting advice. They've always given us a variety of treatment plans and made sure we understood them all. Most importantly, they have treated our dog as their own, which is evident by how much he loves the staff.

I've taken my cat to Healing Paws in the past for alternative veterinary care. However I'll not be taking her here again after one of the receptionists made false statements against me to the SPCA! My cat is by no means in distress! I called the clinic on Tuesday last week to rebook an appointment as I couldn't make the one for this past Saturday, and a couple of the last two appointments had to be rescheduled as well with plenty of notice given. My cat has received recent veterinary care, and I was planning to take her here, because they've holistic options available that my usual vet clinic doesn't. I'm deeply upset by the false statements that were made, and the unprofessional things that were said to me over the phone. This receptionist should mind her own business, as it's my choice what kind of care I seek for my animals. To me the false statements were made out of vengeance rather, than genuine concern, as this lady doesn't know me or my cat, and I made it clear to her that my cat is by no means suffering. It was mentioned that I have several upcoming appointments including for one of my other cat's at another clinic so I had to accommodate for that when booking Coconut in here, and needed to space the appointments apart by at least a few days. However what was taken from this, and one of the false statements made was that my other female cat has bladder issues when this cat was never treated at Healing Paws, and has actually never had a UTI yet alone bladder issues. I've nothing against the clinic itself, the veterinarians, vet assistants, or receptionists there. However what I've experienced is unacceptable, and my hope is that nobody else who visits this clinic has to experience what I did when seeking care for their animals. It's unfortunate that some people have nothing better to do, but to spread rumours, waste people's time, and try to damage someone's reputation. As for me I'm not interested in drama, and I'll be seeking veterinary care elsewhere from now on.

OVERPRICED CLINIC - They are charging a 35% markup on basic medications. When realizing this and calling back about it only moments after leaving they refused a return despite taped safety sealed packs and wouldn’t acknowledge that they are overcharging for basic flea/tick medication (1yr supply of flea and tick was $130 more than our last vet for the identical product!!).Checked my invoices and their vaccines are also 37% higher on this too!! One visit to this place has cost me literally hundreds more than our last vet in Olympic village for the exact same routine vaccines and yearly supply of flea and tick.Shocking that they can charge so much more on standard items. From the other reviews here I’m not the only one who has had this experience. If your looking for a fair, equitable and community minded veterinarian… keep looking.

We have 4 Chihuahuas who all get treated by Dr. Maya, she is the best! Dr. Maya and her staff are all very knowledgeable, caring and believe in holistic as well as traditional medicine, if you are looking for a vet with a huge heart and open mind see Dr. Maya. Some of our dogs have special needs and through Dr. Maya’s care and experience in all types of medicine & treatment she has helped us so much. Kerri-Anne and all of the staff are very dedicated and always make you feel at ease and that you are in good hands. I highly recommend Dr. Maya and Healing Paws, I don’t know what our little fur family would do without them!

We have been driving from Langley to Port Moody, because of the amazing care of Dr. Maya. However she is extremely busy and we ended up getting passed along to her counter parts over the years. We have always paid for the extra wipes or recommendations because Dr Maya never pushed medication or products like other vets have in the past. The last few vet visits have cost us large amount of $$$ purchasing the recommended products before any actual issues were addressed. Every appointment had to be in person for more $$$ where previously if we paid $700 for allergy testing they gave us the results over the phone and send it by email at no added costs, this time we had to book an appointment to get the results and it was over $500 later after we already paid for the testing. We have had many many over expensive appointments (unnecessary) since being passed along to the new counter part. Emails, texts and even letters about follow up became overwhelmingAppointments after $4500 has already been spent we we exhausted. Not to mention my dog hates going to this place but does well at other veterinarians. There is no reason for us to drive out of my way for this place anymore. Dr Maya was great but when I called to talk to her I was told that she wouldn’t be able to help me.

Dr. Maja and her team are just amazing! I have a very nervous rescue dog who usually doesn't do well at the vet. Dr. Maja and her team were super friendly, calm and so loving towards my girl. My dog was so calm in their care, I have never seen her like that before! Incredible service. 10/10!
