Great academic program and amazing Christian environment. Teachers are well prepared and educated. However, workload is very extreme. My son used to come home and pull all-nighters regularly. The students were promised only 2-3 major assessments a week, but as the school year progressed, the teachers almost forgot about it and gave homework, projects, and tests as if there was no tomorrow. On top of that, the athletic program is complete rubbish, as team practices for sports only start around a week before the first game/tournament. No matter how many times my son and his classmates would ask the teachers for less homework as they were very busy, it would only last for so long and then return to the hardcore, heavy workload. Expected a bit better, as they should understand that everyone has lives as well, and not every single minute of the day can be spent on doing homework (very well to the point that my son had to start missing family time and even church to finish all his work; he would sometimes cry himself to sleep, whenever he did sleep, that is). It's quite upsetting if I'm being honest.

It's awesome! There's a Olympic-sized swimming pool, more than 3 squash courts, amazing teachers, good subjects, cool clubs, and most of all get to talk about Jesus freely without feeling awkward about yourself in public(inside the school)!

No library. Several computer labs in its place. Pool is alright. Why does it have like 8 squash courts though. Track area currently looks like an aquarium due to the color scheme. Most kids leave after grade 8. If you want to let your kid grow up in a world with no diversity or sympathy for others come here. Pay 14,000(?) dollars a year for an education you can get anywhere else. Just with one period of Bible

Both of my sons graduated from NTCS. They miss the school, teachers, and their classmates all the time, having built meaningful relationships! The teachers and staff are very friendly and caring, both academic and spiritual, good at finding your child's strength and providing correct encouragement. If your kids love games & sports will have opportunities to shine, with great facilities including a large field, pool, and squash courts. The school also owns an amazing outdoor retreat center up north. Kids learn to practice loving each other through the love of Christ! Solid Christianity base!

If you want your child to succeed academically then this school may be for you. However, this doesn't mean the school is good. Like the previous review, this school is decent at best. The biggest problem with the staff is that they do not care for the students that they do not care for your child's well being. (I am currently under an alias however I will be speaking of previous experiences I have had with the school. Everything that I will claim will be of the truth.)When you enter such a small environment, you are only given a small sense of what reality is. Bigots everywhere. The school claims to be a Christian school but that would be a very hypocritical thing to say. Christians are told to love one another even their enemies. When I tried to voice my opinions about how each religion has it's good and bad side, the teacher's including the students around me have shamed me for straying from a Christian point of view. Keep in mind that this is during WORLD religions course. Not only are their beliefs hypocritical, but also the morals of the staff. (not all are bad) North Toronto Christian School seems to run in a system where they try to take the least blame in any given situation. They try to make themselves the furthest liability. Two example come to mind, the first being the time I was injured early in the morning. to make a long story short, I had an accident and was bleeding excessively. (I will not name from where however it was somewhere around the head) The accident took place around 8:30 in the morning yet they called my parents at 11:30. I will not name anyone however the certain secretary always seems to have her own way with words to try to make any situation not a big deal. While calling my mother (THREE HOURS LATER) she spoke of me as if I was nothing. They said my injury was not a problem and I would be fine. I was NOT fine. I stayed home for a week. Could not eat for a week. I had to go to the ER after school because they misinformed my mother of my injury.Once again the school tries in any means to try to keep trouble out of their hands however fails every time. If I remember correctly, there was a student that everyone used to tease. Back then I was child and I would follow the mob mentality to pick on the boy. We were sheep following what the rest would of the herd would do. I did however take it too far and got myself suspended for bullying him. I will agree that this was partially my responsibility however the school is also to blame for not telling the students that the boy had autism. Yes, I realize this is no joking matter and now I am forever scarred with the guilt of being suspended for bullying someone with autism. Kids will be kids. There will always be competition and teasing however we are not irrational beings. Despite the mob mentality, we are able to distinguish how wrong it is to make fun of someone with a disability. One of my best friends had a problem and he was unable to grow hair. In the beginning he would be teased but when he came out and told the class what he was going through, the teasing stopped. The school did not inform any of us that the boy had autism until he decided to leave. I remember clearly that the initial reaction of all my classmates and I were filled partly with shock and guilt. The guilt soon changed to anger that the school board did not inform the class that there was a special ed student among the class. The school does not take responsibility for what could have been easily avoided. The result: 20+ classmates with the guilt of picking on someone that we shouldn't have.Clearly if you want your child to grow up in a conservative manner, than be more than welcome to come to this school. However I will personally not be sending my child to such a school during this modern and liberal era. My child can have the choice to choose what he believes in and I will support him with my all.If you want your child to succeed academically then this school may be for you; however if you want to your child to succeed as an adult, please reconsider.

I went to the school and they deleted my friends honest reviews. They don't care about the students and even some teachers will make fun of other students. Bullying is always present especially on the firm of gossip. Water runs from the roof and computers are horrible. Don't go to this school. YOU Will REGRET IT!

My kids switched from a public school to NTCS last September. Teachers are so helpful and truly care for my kids. After the first day of school, my kids told me that NTCS is so fun. When I pick up my kids from school everyday, they are so excited to tell me all the fun things happened that day.Whenever there are gossiping in the class, the teacher immediately addresses the issue by talking to the students and even their parents. I volunteered at their school camps (NTCS has a very nice campsite), all kids respect and play with each other. As compared to my kids' previous school, there were kids being excluded and teachers did not do anything to address the issue. Thanks NTCS for teaching my kids. They became more polite, respectful and happy.

One thing that really makes an impression on me is the desire of the teachers to honor the Lord by caring and educating my children. Not only building up their academics but their character as well. That is what differentiates this school and makes it special. God bless NTCS.

I am thrilled to write a review about my daughter and son's school. The teachers and classmates are incredibly friendly, making the school feel like a second home to my children. I have noticed significant progress in their academic and personal growth since enrolling in this school.Additionally, the activities organized by the school, especially those held at Chandos Lake, are simply amazing. My kids always have a fantastic time participating in these events. If there was one area for improvement, it would be to incorporate more sports activities. Nonetheless, I am grateful for the supportive learning environment and the dedication of the school staff in nurturing my children's development.Overall, I highly recommend this school to any parent looking for a safe, welcoming, and nurturing educational institution for their children.

We have three children at NTCS and they have thrived with the environment and support from staff. Communication and structure have been key strengths from the administration, together with high academic standards and a Christian worldview. We are thankful for NTCS.
