Dr. Materek is the first doctor to actually listen to all of my concerns. Every other Doctor has told me the action plan is to wait for me to get worse and do something at that point. Dr. Materek was kind, understanding, explained everything so well and came up with a plan to start helping me now.

Dr. Materek has been my endocrinologist for several years. He is patient, accommodating and always provides excellent advise and health care. I have been a type 1 diabetic for over 36 years and really rely on his assistance. I would strongly recommend him as the best of the best.

Ignored during covid then told I can't be seen anymore because it's been more than a year, despite them ignoring me in the first place. Now I'm running around trying to fill prescriptions during a pandemic while this lot are taking vacations. Do not use.

Some of the lower star reviews for Dr. Materek don't have complete information so don't judge them in that medium of low reviews. This doctor and staff are a fundamental reason why I'm doing well with my diabetes. The harsh reality is if you're trying to be seen by an endocrine doctor there is a shortage of them on the island and elsewhere.

Dr. Materek is a top tier endocrinologist. Other reviews reflecting his knowledge, kindness, and non-judgmental nature are completely accurate. Always goes above and beyond for his patients. Been his patient for a number of years now and still feel like I won the dr. lottery!

Dr. Materek is incredibly understanding and helpful, he's knowledgeable about what hoops you have to jump through to take efficient advantage of our healthcare system without getting lost in paperwork, and has never once made me feel judged for not being the perfect patient. As yet another person who cannot find a family doctor, He has gone above and beyond his responsibility to me, in my opinion.

I had a 915 phone appointment dr called at 904 hung up leaving a msg telling me to call the office. I did call right away. I was informed I could have an appointment next week. They said if I missed again he would drop my son as a client. The receptionist was rude and threatened me in more than one way. Even suggesting that I was an incomplete mother to my 21 year old son, who had almost died from an insulin reaction last week.
