Gongfu Bao
Have been eagerly waiting to try this place out for a while and so glad that I finally did! We ordered the fried chicken & tofu belly bao (each comes with 2 pieces of bao) with a side of the toban slaw. The fried chicken bao & the toban slaw were amazing: the ingredients all complement each other so well & it’s an explosion of flavours! Also liked our sodas: honeydew melon & the blueberry lemonades. It’s a small shop but it’s very cosy and gives off the right kind of vibes. The servers were super friendly & it was quite crowded around dinner time. They also serve various sweet treats. Looking forward to trying those the next time!

I’ve dined in and ordered online from this place and the food has always been good. Braised tofu bao is highly recommended and the fried chicken rice bowl! Very nice vibe, cute small spot, servers are very kind and welcoming.

Amazing Service and tasty food! I was happily surprised about the authentic Hong Kong flavours! Will definitely come back! Kudos to Caroline and our server (who’s name I unfortunately didn’t get) for making our visit enjoyable! :)

Funky and relaxing vibe. The service is good and thoughtful. There was only 3 gluten free options on the menu… none were bao. I ended up getting the sweet and sour tofu with rice. My fiancé got the the steak bao. Both we’re good but left us wanting more. Overall we had a good experience but believe it could have been better if there were more gluten free options and if they had bigger portions or some kind of side with their dishes.

We really enjoyed our dinner! We try the omni Bao and the fried chicken one, and we were NOT disappointed!!!! Both were really different but also very tasty!

I think I've eaten Gongfu over a dozen times just this last year. Whether you're just passing through on a bike ride or dining in with friends - it's always great and delicious.During the warmer weather I'd recommend eating outdoors - inside can be a bit noisy.Amazing for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. Keep an eye on their Instagram for new (temporary) menu items to try throughout the year!

Wow! First visit here and it didn’t disappoint! Ordered the Braised Brisket Bao, Fried Chicken Bao, Toban Slaw, and Broken Rice.Delicious! Enjoyable! Wonderful experience. The service was super friendly and funny!

Cozy place on the corner of the bank street, food is really special and worth to try out. Service is good and just need to take a little bit time to find a parking place lol. Their pork belly is really impressive me and worth to try.

These bao are GIGANTIC and delicious! The meat is sweet and juicy, and the pickled cucumbers or daikon on top really help to add freshness and cut through the fat. The Hong Kong milk tea is perfect, not too sweet and perfect with the golden mantou. The mantou have a different flavour and texture from regular mantou but are still excellent dipped in the sweetened condensed milk. Nice selection of cocktails and beer as well. The staff are so lovely and attentive even though it was super busy when we went!
