It's Taco Tuesday again and this week we decided to revisit one of the spots we ordered from to see if eating there would be better. And the answer is yes. It is significantly better. We encourage you to go out and enjoy these places such as @tacochon.laval as they were intended. Service also plays a big part in the experience which also contributed to our enhanced enjoyment in this case.Likewise, the ridiculously large plate of papas locas (which was way too much for 2 people btw) was very delightful as were the tacos and the impressive, necessary cocktails.

Tacochon Restaurant Mexicain
This is a small restaurant in Laval that makes some delicious tacos! I was there last week (June 2022) and had we tried the grilled shrimp and the fish tacos. Very fresh and perfectly cooked - both the shrimp and the fish were moist and tender. My friends did say the pork was a little dry, though the flavour was quite good. Love the homemade sauces (red is a little spicy, green is very fresh with lots of coriander). Oh, try a cocktail. I would recommend the mojito!

I love this small taco placeThe Birria and the chicken tacos are the best I've had, if you are looking for an authentic Mexican place this is the place to goThe guacamole is also so god with there home made chips and the Picco de GalloThey have a small eating area inside which is nice, they also have this cute little cabana bar which I find so nice, they serve alcohol and also my faves the JarritosThey also offer boxes of tacos which I find nice when you are a big group and you wanna shareDefinitely a must try in Laval.This place is perfect for dinning and also pickupThe stuff is also so friendly

I’ve been there before COVID and it was good. I went today and we ordered the calamari, tacos, nachos, guacamole and the frijoles. Not worth 140$(tip inc., which the option started at 18%). First of all the calamari was refried and little portion for 16$. We ordered the small TacoBox the waitress came with the large one and was expected to pay for their error, at least didnt charged us the large. Nachos needed more cheese for our liking, and the guacamole wasnt so bad. Frijoles was good, my kid loved it. The host was condescending we usually never complain like this but it was too much. As latinas we felt like it wasn’t at the expectations we set.

The food was great, good number of options and all very flavourful (we got Nacho's, burrito barbacoa w rice, porky taco with frijoles) The atmosphere is good, really like the decor. The music is pretty loud but maybe that's just me. The service is terrible though. Had to ask for water, took forever to get seated, they never came to the table to check on us. Also, the parking is a nightmare. Way too small for how popular the restaurant is. Your best bet might be to order out from here, that way you get the delicious food without any of the negatives.

The ingredients were so fresh and the spices were just spot on. It really hit the spot. The staff were nice too. I ordered a birria with cheese.

Very disappointed. The place is cute was looking forward to trying the food. If you love Mexican food like me you will be disappointed the food looks good but it lacks flavour the service was extremely bad staff on their phones looked very unprofessional the waiter took the order and basically came back for the bill I had to walk up twice or look to get their attention and one of the orders I made was wrong. I will not be back.

A nice a cozy spot. Really really good food , tasty. The spicy mayo with the extremely good calamari was to die for. The margarita caused me brain freeze because I wanted to drink it so fast it was that good.I highly recommend going and trying it out for yourselves
