Absolutely amazing place to stay. Thanks to reviews I read before booking I chose this hotel for our stay in Parrsboro for two nights. Spotless clean. Beautifully decorated and very cozy. On the Main Street and everything is close by. This B&B run like it’s 5 star hotel. Every single detail is thought out and executed to perfection. What I liked the most that you are not confined to your room when you are back from day of sightseeing. They have a large living room with big coach where you can seat and read or have a drink before going to bed. Would definitely stay again if I am ever in Parrsboro again.

This was an excellent stay. Lori is such a great host along with her 2 lovely dogs who will give free joy!!!We came here to work from distance and take few days off and this place was perfect with their conference studio area. The garden is fantastic and breakfast so good and fresh, they make their own bread!!!Very happy with the stay, feels more like home.

David, the resident owner/operator was great to speak with even before we got there, with tips for our drive from Bangor. The stately home built in the mid 1800s is well maintained, nicely appointed and welcoming. David also happens to co-own Two Island brewery so we got to try some of his brews in his kitchen. Breakfast was well made and served in their dining room, we had a good conversation in the evening and over breakfast - conveniently located for a quick trip down to Cape D’Or and to continue onwards towards Cape Breton both of which we did!

Lori and David were amazing hosts during my stay in August 2018. The renovations were beautifully done since I was last there as a child around 1984. Getting to stay in a childhood home after 34 years is priceless and they made my stay wonderful. The grounds are beautiful and the food they served was filling and delicious. You feel right at home at the Gillespie House Inn. I can’t wait to return in the future. Parrsboro will always feel like home.

This is a wonderful bed and breakfast. The house is absolutely gorgeous and meticulously kept. The rooms are well decorated comfortable and quite large. Our bathroom had a separate soaking tub with a stand-in shower and was roomy. The bedroom area was well appointed with a fireplace and sconce lighting. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. The hosts David and Lori were very engaging, very friendly, and very welcoming. We had a choice of breakfast: eggs blueberry pancakes or french toast. Tables were nicely set in a beautiful dining room, and we were offered coffee tea and orange juice when we arrived there in the morning. Quality and quantity of food for breakfast was outstanding. The grounds are beautiful as well and well kept.Highly recommend.

Welcoming duo, even had their official greeters come and say hi, sweet quiet dogs. The place is beautiful and their brunch was quite tasty. Spacious room in a wonderful town. Just a heads up, was rainy so it did smell of the dogs a bit albeit not in the rooms. Didn't bother me much but I can see how it would be less fun for others during breakfast.

Gillespie House Inn was wonderful! It was welcoming and inviting. Everything was immaculate and nicely decorated. The breakfast was hot and delicious. We enjoyed touring the yards and would look forward to returning. We were able to walk to our restaurant in the evening. Highly recommend.

Hosts Lori and Dave are exceptional. The Gillespie House is so inviting! A beautiful and serene property, inviting veranda, immaculately clean and well appointed rooms. We slept like babies in a 4 poster bed with a perfectly firm mattress and clean, crisp linens. Food is my husband's love language, and breakfast had him swooning! He had fluffy buckwheat blueberry pancakes, and I enjoyed scrambled eggs with multigrain toast. That was alongside coffee, tea, juice, fresh fruit with yogurt and granola and a homemade berry muffin. The Gillespie House is a treasure to Parrsboro. We only wish we had booked a second night!!
