This park is lovely year round! We took our dog here for a beautiful winter walk (plus 6 in January). The best part about it is that because most of the roads are paved and the walking trails are crushed dust gravel with a small layer of pine needles on everything, my dog did not get full of mud! That is a huge plus this time of year. There were a fair number of families and people walking dogs. All people and dogs were friendly however the park is large enough that you didnt see many people. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Year round!

Very nice updated provincial park. Road is paved but narrow. The sites are the smallest I've seen in a provincial park.We had site 7 which has a tree at the edge of the door side of an RV. This would block most Rv's from opening their awning. My trailer is 17' and my car blocked the road while hooking/un-hooking.Be sure to circle the campground to find a tap you can hook a hose to in order to fill water tank.(I saw two with hose compatible fittings). Most taps have a smooth outlet that you can't connect to.Not the best park for big rigs but there were a few sites large enough.Cramped quarters aside, we had a great time in a well kept, clean park.

Really quite and nice little camping spot. Kids might scream in the morning as well as birds. But in general is really well maintained.

Beautiful place for camping in the summer or for a day trip to walk around to. The trail is cemented but there are smaller trails that aren't which leads to the woods or near the ocean. This is a well maintained park!

30 mins away from Halifax, great place for a quick camping trip, facilities are great and well maintained. Viewing is fantastic and lake is amazing for water activities like kayak or paddle board.

A beautiful park on the shore of Grand Lake. Very clean park with lovely sites. Sites are not super private but not too bad. Washrooms could have used more attention from staff. Also did not see a park truck until Sunday morning. Not sure if staff were actually around on the weekend. Overall a great stay. We will be back.

Unsure why people can’t seem to keep their dogs on leash here when it is a designated on leash park. Pretty frustrating especially when they cannot recall or control their dogs. Do not recommend bringing your dogs on a walk here unless you wanna be harassed and barked at by off leash dogs.

What a lovely spot. Feels like a well hidden place only I know about. It's not as crowded as places like point pleasant gets. Barely saw anyone. A really good place for contemplation. Very quiet except when the train passes buy. Has lots of campsites too. Very beautiful in the fall. One of my favorite places in HRM.

Enjoy walking along the Grand Lake, seeing different camper's set up. There are so many little beaches along the lake. People can enjoy their own privacy in their little beach. A program area with benches which is good for group function. I think that can fit at least 40 people.
