Friendly service, but I should have done my homework! … they charged me 19.95 for a simple Apple adapter I could have picked up two blocks away for 10.00. That’s quite the markup!

They were friendly, but they wanted to sell a tiny audio cable to me for $40! I can get that online for 10. I don’t know what to say… come on, guys!! That was absolutely ridiculous.Edit in response to owner: Their response here is completely counter to the in-store experience. If you scan the other reviews, other people are reporting similar. Pure price gouging, hiding behind feigned (or actual?) ignorance.My review stands as-is. Do your homework online before coming here. Disappointing. If they're as accommodating as they say they are, they would have done it in person the first time, rather than in response to a poor public review.

It’s the best place in town to get audio stuff. The guys take their time to help you get the right thing. I never feel upsold, and the prices are pretty comparable to big box stores. Everyone complains that stores like this, full of experts and with a good stock, don’t exist anymore, but they do—you just have to choose to shop there. Heck, it’s more convenient if you are downtown!

Very kind, helpful and knowledgeable team!! Mr. Sheldon guided me through what is perfect for my needs and at the end created/invented a handle for my speakers box so it is easier for me to carry which was very nice. They go the extra mile for their customers and care a lot about them. Thanks for everything!

Absolutely the best audio shopping experience I've ever had. Incredibly knowledgeable and flexible staff, never tried to upsell me, and made great recommendations based on my price range. The inventory is also incredibly for personal audio compared to other places I've been, had basically everything I could ever want. And most importantly, there were genuinely good deals that I couldn't get anywhere else. Ended up paying $300 for a perfect portable setup, which would have cost $375 somewhere else. If you're into home or personal audio, I 100% recommend Layton Audio!

These guys had a receiver (Yamaha R-N602) listed on their website that I couldn’t find anywhere else. I called to confirm they really had it and the person who handled the call was extremely knowledgeable and courteous. He gave me tips on how to properly order and when I called back ten minutes later, he confirmed the order was sent. I got my receiver in three business days and I live in a different province.Thanks Layton!

Fantastic customer service. I found momentum 3's as a gift for my dad while searching online, staff were super attentive and went above and beyond to help me secure the last pair for a great price when there was an issue with the order that was totally on me. Highly recommend!
