Prairie Kitchen Catering

I first stumble upon Prairie Kitchen Catering at Third+Bird Market and their veggie chips looks so good so, I got 2 bags and a dip and it was fantastic! And it didn't end there, I ordered from their Fall 2020 menu for my birthday and for Mother's day and it was truly divine. Everything was superb in taste. All of it you get for a very reasonable price and portion. Really value for your money. They would even deliver at your doorsteps! Chef Matty is very accommodating with all of my inquiries, always very pleasant. I would not mind having his team curate a dinner party menu for us someday.

We went to the Prairie Kitchen Catering pop-up for the FortWhyte Alive Goose Flight Feast, and it was amazing. My partner had the meat-based meal, and I had the vegetarian one. Both were outstanding. His meal included the chicken dumpling soup in consommé, and a pork schnitzel with sweet potatoes purée, beets, and Brussels sprouts in miso. I had the arugula salad with blueberries, pumpkin seeds and mascarpone, and the mushroom gnocchi. We both had the schmoo torte, which was out of this world. What a wonderful catering company. It was my first time enjoying their food, but it certainly won’t be my last. I will be looking out for them in the future!

We did not have the best experience when we first started looking for a caterer for our wedding. The original caterer that we started with took our deposit and then closed up shop and offered us no refund, but that’s a story for another day. Enter Chef Matty! The food to me, was always one of the most important parts of our wedding. It’s what everyone remembers and as someone who loves food, I wanted to remember it too. That being said, guests from our wedding still talk about the food that Chef Matty and his team prepared. Every single bite that came out of the kitchen was nothing short of incredible. Appetizers, dinner, dessert and our late night perogy bar, every morsel was prepared to the nines. I don’t think I’ve ever had such amazing food at a wedding, or in most restaurants if I’m being honest. He and his team made us a meal we are likely never to forget.

Prairie Kitchen Catering did an absolutely amazing job of my sisters afternoon tea party on Sunday. The flavours of the appetizers and desserts were outstanding. The service and staff were friendly and exceptionally attentive.

THE BEST WEDDING FOOD! I cannot say enough about the quality, taste and presentation prairie kitchen provided for our cabin wedding. I don't think there was a plate left with food on it. Not only was the food outstanding, but chef matty was the most accommodating and flexible vendor we hired. I cannot say enough about this company. Would hire again in a heartbeat!

I can not say enough great things about our meal we had delivered on Mother’s Day. Where do I start. That’s right the person who made it and delivered it! Chef Matty made our experience even more awesome with everything from booking the meal and the nan drop it off himself. What a wonderful person! Now the meal and the value. The chicken was wonderful but I was speechless stuffing. It was amazing. The salads. Fresh and wonderful and something I just would never think to make a salad from and honestly again speechless. There were crepes and cinnamon buns again fresh wonderful and sooooooooo darn good. I am going on and on cause it’s so worth it. The wedding meal - from appetizers, to sit down dinner, to late night ‘snack’ - was beyond exceptional, both in taste and presentation. The complements we received (and are still receiving) is a testament to the incredible service provided. Without a doubt, Matty and his staff at Prairie Kitchen elevated our out of town wedding experience to the highest level, rivalling any other venue or catering service being offered in Manitoba!

I was at an event yesterday that was catered by Prairie Kitchen Catering. The food was beyond amazing and the energy and humor chef Matty and his colleague had was perfect, you can tell they love what they do. They made everything fresh, and left a clean kitchen when they were finished. The turkey skewers with peanut sauce was so delicious and the sliders were so tasty, the chili chicken waffles had the perfect amount of kick and flavor - yum! I would absolutely recommend Prairie Kitchen Catering for any occasion! They were phenomenal!

Chef Matty and his team did an incredible job catering our wedding. My family and friends are still raving about the food, and how it was the best charcuterie board they've ever seen. The serving staff and bar service provided was also unbelievable.I would highly recommend Prairie Kitchen Catering. Chef Matty is extremely caring and willing to do anything to make sure the food at your event is perfect. I still cant believe just how good all the food was.

Chef Matty and his team catered my wedding this summer. The experience was amazing - he was so easy to work with on our very custom men - his suggestions were terrific and the food was wonderful. Our guests absolutely loved it and still talk about it months later! The service was excellent before during and after the dinner - and Chef Matty and team were so friendly and fun and really helped make the day so special for us and our guests. I would recommend this caterer without hesitation!! Oh yes and the chips are pretty fine too :)
