Incapable of diagnosing solutions to fix dryer for 2 months. Ignored my calls/text and mislead ordering parts to fix the dryer. But, they certainly charged my credit card. My first time using this service. They couldn't fix my refrigerator either, alternativly they told me to unplug my fridge to defrost the ice. This was there solution after charging my credit card. To be fare the worker that attended my residence was professional. I feel the manager running this business was misguided buying into Mr.Appliance franchise with minimal handyman" and "management" experience would be easy. I certainly don't have anything personal against this business

I was looking for someone to repair my fridge so I called this company. they came and assessed the issue and ordered a part and asked for a $300 deposit. This is where things start to go downhill. once the part arrived it was installed. I was informed that the part was the wrong part for my fridge but that they Jimmy rigged it to fit. This did not fix the fridge so they ordered the correct part and attempted to charge me a second time, however I declined to pay and that seemed fine. Once the new part came I suggested that maybe it was the compressor, I was blown off by the owner saying that it wasn't, but yet the pressure in the compressor was never checked. They installed the new part and the fridge still wasn't working. I let the owner know that it wasn't fixed, he told me that he was at a loss and would refund me my deposit. I have been waiting approximately 4 months for my deposit with me consistently asking for it and have been given $100 so far and have been told it will be at least another 6 months before I get the rest. needless to say I hired another company and it was the compressor that was still under warranty and is now fixed. I would not recommend this company at all. And the reply to this review has a lot of false claims. Did I finally get my money back? Yes, but not before waiting months because i was told it woykd take that long and posting a negative review and refusing to take it down ( which I was asked to do). There was never an ask for me to return any parts that they used to fix my fridge. I have all of the text receipts to prove that this was not an easy nor professional transaction. And they did not recommend the company I ended up using, it was requested through LG Canada as they are the dealers in Thunder Bay. I will say the gentleman that did the work was very kind. That being said, I still would steer very clear of this company in the future and recommend that others do the same.

My stove burners weren't cycling on and off properly. I called in for a repair and gave my stove model number and a description of the problem. A quick Google search told me that this was likely caused by a faulty energy regulator. Mr Appliance scheduled an appointment with me - I assumed this would be an appointment to make the repairs as i had given the model and was quickly able to determine what the problem was from Google. On appointment day, someone showed up and did diagnostic work. Diagnostic work had not been discussed prior. Diagnostic cost $100 and consisted of removing 5 screws from the back of the stove and looking at it for about 5 minutes. I was told the $100 fee would be applied toward the repair and I'd only have to pay cost of parts if I decide to proceed with it.A while later, I'm told that parts will cost $540+tax, and I'm likely better off buying a new stove.I Googled how to do the repair myself and bought the new parts for $280+tax. The repair took me 10 minutes and stove is working fine. The way they represented their pricing was not at all transparent. There was no discussion of the $260 markup on the cost of parts, and no discussion of the diagnostic fee at all prior to when they asked to collect it.In all, I needed about 20 minutes to diagnose the problem, order the parts and solve the problem myself. Those 20 minutes would have cost $260+tax more than what I paid based on what Mr Appliance wanted to charge. While I'm certain that Mr Appliance could have done the repair work, their pricing in this case was extremely high for a minimal amount of effort on their part.

This company took my money and scheduled a service call. They never showed up and didn't have the courtesy to call, after a month of getting the runaround, I asked for a refund. I finally had to call the corporate office to get a response from Gerald, he has offered me a partial refund and doesn't seem to care that I stayed home for a day waiting. I guess his time is more valuable than mine.New edit:This guy responded with more excuses. The problem was never the parts being late.it was him not calling me to inform me. He never called to tell me they weren't going to come for the first service call. When I called he blamed it on the parts and didn't care that I waited all day. Then over the next month, he fed me lines everyday. I call him, he had an excuse, and then said he would call ne in the morning. He never would. I finally canceled and asked for a refund. He refused to pay the diagnostic fee back. I would have never agreed to the diagnostic fee if i knew the company would not do the repairs.

Appointment was booked and a confirmation text received from Gerald at Mr. Appliance. Nobody showed up between the hours they said. I texted asking if I need to reschedule and no reply or call.

Absolute scam artist. Charged me over 300 dollars then left me hanging over 3 months, did not answer calls then suddenly showed up months later dropped off the part and called me later as I wasn't home and told me to fix it myself. Almost forgot the part i was given was used and already fried, had to purchase another myself and stove now works. If I could put zero stars I would, use literally anyone else these people are trash.

I had an issue with a dishwasher and needed a new one installed asap. Gerald was very quick to respond and even had someone come out today! His employee, Anthony, was wonderful. He finished the job quickly, cleaned up everything and communicated throughout, answering all of my questions. Great team and their work was wonderful. It meant a lot to have them come out day of.

Communication was fantastic. I booked Mr. Appliance for a non-urgent dryer repair. The technician was unable to attend my original appointment date and time; however, they reached out well before that date and asked to reschedule at another date and time. I have no problem rescheduling, I was just amazed how well this was handled. The communication was professional and a good reason was provided for the reschedule. On the day of the dryer repair, the technician arrived during the indicated booking window and completed the repair in a timely fashion. I think I had a newer technician, but he took the time to explain what the problem was, how to repair the problem. He was quiet and completed his work and kept me updated when needed. I paid for their services upon completion. The cost of the service is what I would expected from competent professionals and likewise it was worth the money spent. I can also see how the manner in which this business responds to complaints and positive reviews highlights their professional communication skills. I will be contacting this business again in the future for all my appliance repairs needs.

I wouldn’t use them again. I called to get my dishwasher fixed because it wasn’t drying my dishes, they did come quickly to take a look and see what was wrong with it , he looks and says it’s the heating element so he changes it and then leaves. I go to use the dishwasher and it still leaves my dishes wet so I called back and they came again and he looks at it and says it’s the high temperature thermostat he tested it and said it wasn’t working . So I ordered the part and then just changed it ourselves and then I used my dishwasher again and the dishes are still wet . So I decided to test the old thermostat and it works, nothing wrong with it . Not going to bother calling back . Could of bought a brand new one for a couple hundred dollars more . I’m assuming the heating element probably worked to but they took it with them when they left . There prices were better then other places but I’m still here with it not working.
