Brutal connection speeds, 9/10 times I am tethering my phone to my devices. I may as well be throwing $80 down the drain every month for what should be a 5mbps service.Technicians are constantly here in our neighborhood fixing something, their billing team never knows what is ever going on there. Nobody is ever on the same page and they can’t keep track of what information they have, or at least that has been our experience. When I’ve called, they’re abrupt and cut you off if you have a problem, continuously insisting “we will get this sorted out” instead of letting you speak.They continue to sell this service, knowing full well that the connection is consistently bogged down. Unfortunately this never gets disclosed.Starlink can’t get here fast enough.

One of the worst ISP's I have ever dealt with and I've moved all across Canada for various reasons .Their internet is not just incredibly slow but its pricey as all hell, It cuts out all the time for hours on end and the people working there act as if its your fault when its clearly their end.Stay far away from these people and just go with someone else

Employee of KOS for almost 20 years, have used our services for the same amount of time from old school early 2k legacy aDSL to FTTN and since we've offered it, our Cable service in the city of Kingston and have been nothing but satisfied. I may be an employee but I am also, a happy KOS customer. :)

Terrible internet service. We literally have the tower on our property so we should have the best service. The internet does not work more often than it does. Also when we do get service it is so slow that even streaming a single video on one device require extreme patience. Customer service is poor at best and can't even give relative timelines on outages (which are frequent!). We will be changing providers. I don't recommend this provider to anyone that wants any kind of speed or reliability.

I moved to Wolfe Island in 2005 and KOS was the only option. It’s tower blew down on Howe Island where we get our signal and they initially refused to stop charging us for a service they could no longer offer. Their reasoning, it was an act of God they were not responsible for and we had signed a contract…. We went to Xplornet and the service was far better for years until their tower became too loaded with subscribers. We went back to KOS who had made improvements but their service declined over a few years to the point of averaging 2 mbps down and .4 mbps up but was so inconsistent we could not use it during most of the pandemic for more than just e-mail. We burned through $1,000’s in Rogers data which was the only way we could work remotely. Hands down, KOS has been consistent over the years with one thing… horrendously bad technical support. So bad, I’m planning on performing a new stand-up routine which is me simply reading the transcript of three separate calls to one particular support person I recorded. A week ago (Feb 2022) we again returned to Xplornet as they have made major improvements in their line-of-sight wireless towers and are pleased to report a blazing average 38 mbps down and 10.4 mbps up! It’s consistent, affordable, and their technical support people don’t make you feel stupid with unrealistic expectations. KOS has a “traffic management plan” that throttles you down to virtually nothing when they’re closed so you can’t tell them you can’t even send e-mails with photos attached! Ask them about that! Hands down, historically worst provider servicing Wolfe Island!!

if you want internet that constantly disconnects you from: games, discord, netflix, and really anything that has internet... then this provider is just for you! they come with horrible tech support, workers that avoid the question constantly, absolutely useless connection and many more! all for the low low price of not being able to use anything internet related and your hard earned cash! trying to talk to friends? good luck with that! this is completely useless! the DSL connection goes through Bell Canada, so you know it's horrible! they abuse rural homes that are not able to access good internet so they throttle you so hard you can't download anything. 60gb game? that will take a full 24 hours! 100gb game? 3 days to a week depending on how hard they want you to not use the internet you are paying for! Kingston Online Services, our motto is: screw you and your money". we hope you do not chose this for anything at all

This is by far the worst internet in the entire world. If you can get other internet companies in your area then do it. This company knows that many of their customers are unable to get other internet providers so knowing that they will provide you with a terrible connection and have terrible customer service that for some reason closes halfway through the day because they know that there is nothing that you can do about it. This company is a scam and they do not care about giving their customers a fair price, the service they should be getting, or a connection that is always stable and working. It is 2021 and somehow this scam of an organization is still able to provide the same internet that may have been good 10-15 years ago and still have customers because the customers have no other choice. If I could choose between having no internet and having this horrendous headache of an internet supplier, the simple choice is to not have internet. I had to write this review on my data on my phone because the connection could not stay on for long enough for me to load the page to write this review. SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR INTERNET!!!

Horrible customer service. We have not had internet since Friday night. I contacted them on Saturday, they said I needed to come in and replace the Modem, but they would not do this until Monday. I went in today to get the Modem (30 minutes in and 30 minutes back) plugged it in and still have no internet. I called them and they said that the modem was always the first thing they tried (I wish they told me this), that they would sent a note to Bell to contact me, hour later Bell calls me but says they have no note of me in their system. I called KOS back and they said they now have to wait until Bell disables my claim before they can do anything. When I call Bell they won't do anything without talking to KOS. When I called back to talk to a tech member at KOS he told me my problem was not a priority and would not be dealt with for days...I work for a physician so I need internet access. Very frustrating process and no end in sight.
